Thank god for that, didnt want jones or Law I agree If it is SD he would need a very good No2 with a good contacts book! Someone to do the burkinshaw role that Aidy had!(before he binned him)
Still learning his trade would be the most apt description. Good shot stopper but seems slow in learning when to come off his line, and needs to talk more to his defence.
But as were in selling mode 1.75m and he`s yours! Oh sorry JW `gone Speak to uncle baz offer a tenner and he `s yours!
I can give you the lowdown on a couple of names in the frame. Waddock is not being mentioned by Betfred and is out to 10/1 with William Hill. He's a great manager, he's done really well with us and I really don't hope he comes to you as we'll be gutted and will probably go straight back down following our promotion. He plays great open, attacking football. Now, Westley on the other hand still has much to prove. He's done well to get Stevenage up two divisions from non-leage into League 1 - but it's been done a few times before (Yeovil, Us (Wycombe), Cheltenham and now Stevenage). As well as that, the brand of football they've employed hasn't exactly won them any fans, unless you're into cage fighting. Not sure how he'd fair at a club that wasn't supposedly punching above it's weight like yourselves. Good luck for the season though, I don't mind you lot really.
Stevenage are already punching above their historic weight though. I agree that Westley is not ready for the Championship, but if he can get Stevenage winning against teams that have Premier League ambitions or memories, such as the Sheffield clubs and pretty much anyone who goes down from the Championship, people will turn up to watch. From what I can make of Dasani, he will most likely try to pacify the fans by appointing someone that he considers to be a "local" football "legend". Based on the decisions he has taken up until this point, we'll probably end up with Mick Harford.
Westley left Farnborough under a cloud after some shenanagins down there and Farnboro fans have no kind words for him.
