The veteran centre-half missed Saturday's 3-1 win at Middlesbrough through suspension following his midweek red card at Sheffield Wednesday. Right-back Danny Simpson was on the bench at the Riverside following two months out with a back injury so he could start. Karl Henry (illness) needs a check after missing out at the weekend while Kevin Doyle (knee), Charlie Austin (shoulder), Matty Phillips, Andrew Johnson (both ankle) and Ale Faurlin (cruciate) remain on the sidelines. Wigan's promotion push has received a double boost with the news experienced duo Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell are back in the squad for the trip to QPR. Scotland international Maloney (hip) has not played since September after undergoing rehabilitation work out in America while club captain and fellow Scot Caldwell, whose latest setback was an Achilles injury, has not featured since May of last season. Both played over 70 minutes for the development squad last week but given Wigan are on a 10-game unbeaten run, winning nine of those contests, boss Uwe Rosler is unlikely to throw them in at the deep end. The German will, though, likely shuffle his pack - as he frequently has done since arriving at the DW Stadium - and Callum McManaman and Nick Powell are among those likely to be restored to the starting line-up. Probably one of the most sickening finishes to a game I can remember last year after an heroic battle and Remy's wonder-goal had given us hope. We owe them one...

This is tactically a massive game. If we win we will be almost certain of making the play-offs AND have a mental advantage over Wigan before meeting them in May. If we lose we are literally on our knees, looking uneasily at Reading, Brighton and Florist. Let's get at them and gain some higher ground! U Rs!
Totally agree !! If we dont "show up", and really fight tooth and nail for every ball, every 50/50 tackle, it will put us on the back foot, well and truly !!
I remember watching it with Beth and her daughter who was at her first game. I said it was going in and said "welcome to being a QPR fan" when it went in as that just really summed up being an R.
LCFC & Burnley: I've just had a look at both teams' remaining fixtures and both teams have got it relatively easy, to be honest. We had no hope of catching up to LCFC anyway but I think Burnley will come away with plenty of points from those last games and I think it's pretty much set in stone for the automatic places. I really do think we'll be in the playoffs. We're not great but we're chugging along as we are. We've basically been fixed in 3rd or 4th all season and I don't think that'll change. We'll always be winning games and drawing or losing a couple. It's been a while since we've been in a playoff and I, personally, am not a fan of them. I think the top three teams should go up and that's that. But mainly I don't like them because they're nerve racking!!
What also sticks in my mind regarding that game was Zamora getting sent off by the fourth official. Neither the referee nor linesman had seen that he had made contact with Gomez's head, but, after plainly getting a message in his earpiece, the ref produced a red card.
So we continue with the longest injury list of any club ever while Wigan welcome back two of their stalwarts who have not played for the entire season. Jinx? What jinx?
Bit of a must win for us tonight looking at the games around us... seems we have the toughest game I the top seven (well, Wigan May want to say that - or not!). Need to make it back-to-back wins.
Anyone have any ideas on the starting 11 line-up? The key issues probably are: - what will be our back line with an eligible Dunn and a choice of full backs? - who and what will be our midfield? I am quite looking forward to watching a feed of this match.

Great work as always Nines. Massive massive game. Can easily see it being a draw, and to be honest I'd be tempted to take that. But I'd bite yer arm off for a 1 - 0! COYRs!
I hope he keeps the same back 5 myself - thought the 4 did OK Saturday. I'd replace Benny with Traore if fit, or Hoillet if not, and Keane with BZ if he can manage 90. I'd also like to see Kranscjar used more centrally than as wide as he was often last time - playing Traore or Hoillet should help that. But then I don't know nothing - Come on Arry!
Can't really play Kranky central if Morrison plays. I'd have Traore and Hoilett each side of Morrison with Zamora up top.
Don't see why we need more than 1 out and out wide man - Kranscjar and Ravel should be pretty much permanent for me in forward midfield positions, and both can and should flow / switch position across the park, either side or central as necessary.
