I think that as a manager he won promotion in the mid-eighties with Blackpool who were in the fourth division. He did manage Bury and also Lincoln I think.
Easy. He's wearing a black leather jacket in the Watford Legends photo on the Watford Prediction League photos. Bit less hair now, the moustache remains, I seem to remember. The hair was massive, covering his clever football brian
Oh, I don't know 'im. He's got to be a bit before my time. Judging by your beard, BB, you must be old enough to know him ? And there's a few others on here who must know him - no names no pack drill .
There are certainly some who could know him - Leonardo and Frenchie spring to mind, and possibly Yorkie. He was a legend at his previous club, but not so great for us. IIRC he got sent off in his first game.
BB...this one had me scratching my head. Looking at the shirt and the clue of being sent off in his first game the only one I can think of would be Charlie Billington. He looks big enough for a central defender, that is if his head is in proportion to his body.
No frenchie, wrong decade - although he was playing at that time for another, very successful team (in Scotland).
We did have a Scottish player name of John Hamilton who did well ooop north and only played a handful of games for Watford, but I haven't a clue what he looked like.
