Don't know if this is what you mean;

You used to be able to do that on the old BBC606 site once the thread had passed a certain life expectancy date ie let's say 3 months as a pure guess. Then all future posts would only show up in your profile history, but the thread would remain/become invisible to the main forum/board. You can't do that on not606 to my knowledge, if you post on an old thread it bumps it back to the top.

It used to be a good way of hiding from the mods and complainers. You just chose an old thread to chat on.

 

My idea of being intellectually superior to you is actually being able to take part in a debate by putting my point forward clearly and concisely without resorting to insults from the get go.
