The spineless fuds at Brussels , (or wherever the EU make their policies ) since the Russians invaded Crimea have announced to increase Renewable energies and to rely less on Russian Gas . As always where there is war there is money and where there is money there is a politician slithering his way through the slime
Tomorrow's press release is on Twitter, £160m investment in Greenport Hull and a rotor blade plant at Paull, 1,000 jobs to be created.
This is enormous for the region! I recently interviewed David Davis and Stephen Brady for some press stuff I was doing and it didn't look like the deal was going to happen. The knock-on effects will be massive as long as the council don't mess it up.
The council seem to be perfectly capable of doing so, but a lot of the delay in going ahead (by Siemens) has been down to the government's shifting of the goalposts/changing the renewable energy subsidies.
Really? Thats great. Can you please share the link where it was 'announced hours' before 11.14pm last night, I would like to see the first historic announcement.
Just wait for the influx of EU workers both in building & staffing the plants as was seen with the glass factories near Goole & Selby (where mostly Portugese staff were involved) and even the Tesco warehouse near Goole where an English voice is rarely heard
Not for the money the Allams are counting on from the name change, after all the total investment in the Siemens development is only £100 million so I doubt they will want to cough up an extra £50 million to sponsor City
