Likewise, I didn't hear him giving it rough to Burnside.

It'll be interesting how he handles the media ****s of the Prem.

I always thought he was a ****. As a manager he was perfect for us at the time and rebuilt our squad brilliantly but he had an arrogance that I never liked. It isn't difficult to show professional journalists respect. It's not as if these people were paparazzi, dealing with the media is a substantial part of being a football manager and is also the only real link fans have to the manager. Bruce is a much better manager and a much nicer, more open person. Having people like Bruce, Rosie, Davies etc. at the club makes it feel much more involved in the community IMO.

His job is to manage the players.

We have Roary and Amber to manage the fans.

I don't personally agree that Bruce is a better manager or a nicer bloke.

Nicer to the media, absolutely. But I assume you've never met Nige?

We have players like Nugent, Schmeichel, Vardy, Moore, James, Knockaert (could write the entire squad) who are all willing to work their socks off for the Club so in that regard I feel part of a "community club". Nigel not telling the journos everything they want doesn't stop that.

I don't know why you want such a link to the manager. Our fans love Nige, they sing his name every game and he applauds and what not, why does him being nice (or not) prevent that?

A smart manager should realise that, for the vast majority of supporters, his media persona is just about all they've got to go on when it comes to deciding what sort of person he is.

Reg Blampey is talking ****e about "managing the fans".

    Get well soon NP.

Thought you was one of our best managers.

You was always here on loan waiting to go back to LCFC IF you got the chance .

Things turned out right for both clubs .

We are premier league and so are the foxes next season .

Well obviously Nigel Pearson is lacking something. Surely you should feel sorry for him?

I think respected managerial records would say different.

Although I think Pearson is a good manager. Done decent jobs everywhere he's been.

When he's survived 10 years in the Premier League you can start making comparisons... :D

Oh come on, Andy. Now you are just trying to WUM.

That couldn't possibly have anything to do with you being top of the league, could it?

I dont think that you understand what day it is most of the time.

Steve Bruce has said so many many times. He loves the way they allow him to manage unlike many other owners.

NP has always been boring wherever he has managed. Shaker is much better with the media and maybe Nigel needs to hand that duty over. I would much prefer to listen to Shaker than Nige. Bet NP cannot wait for next season and the media duties like. Lol.

You wouldn't find a single Leicester fan that'd swap for him. Make of that what you will.

Im quite sure if we had a slump we'd have fans calling for Brucies head.

He did a grand job for us at a time of great uncertainty. He left simply because he had unfinished business at Leicester, and this time, given the right support and time, he's done a pretty awesome job. After the media courting and soundbite hell of Phil Brown, who I liked as a bloke but who did my head in as an ego, Nige for me as a good replacement, did the job, got on with it, and treated the media like they deserve tbh. Too much emphasis is put on everyone knowing everything all the time. Some questions can be cheeky, but there seems to be no line a scumbag journo won't trample over for an exclusive.

Brucie just plays the middle ground, neither egotastic nor totally subdued, and of the 3, I do now prefer his approach. We'll find out which is the best manager next season, if you can measure such things. I think Brucie is the best manager for us, and quite clearly Nige is best for Leicester, if they swapped positions I doubt either team would remain the same.

Sadly, like we saw with Cardiff, it can easily go belly up and the knives get drawn, but if nothing else, this season he's been absolutely spot on and that justifies for him personally, and for the Leicester fans, why he did what he did.

I hope whatever it is, he gets through ok and gets to enjoy properly the fruits of his labours this season and I wish him well.

Again, that couldn't possibly have something to do with you being successful under him, could it?
