It only allows 15 options so I missed out Pilkington, Whittaker, Yobo, both Bennetts, Bunn, Murphy, Becchio, Gutierrez, Nash, Fox and anyone else that may have played this season, but please feel free to vote for them
No, there hasn't been a standout player as such, but for me, backed up by 'Whoscored' statistics, Snodgrass has been City's most consistent player (last season 7.22 and this season 7.19). No, he doesn't get every cross or corner right, but show me a wide player who does. What he does do, however, is to beat FBs regularly and get into the box to put pressure on the defence where it matters. He also makes intelligent runs, like he did last Saturday to make himself available for Elmander's cutback to score the first goal. Whilst on that subject, he's also City's top scorer in the PL this year with 6 goals. In addition to that, he tracks back very effectively to support the FB time after time. He may not stand out to some, but he does far more than most. Olsson would be my second choice by the way.
Hard to look beyond Snodgrss and Olsson for me. Olsson has generally done well and had no complaints. Quietly effective, like a good LB should be (Drury springs to mind) And Snodgrass, while having rough patches, has been the outstanding player going forward. He may frustrate at times but he is always looking to make something happen and offers a genuine goal threat from the wing which has been massive with our strikers not scoring. Snoddy then Olsson for me. If Tettey had of gotten a full season I reckon he might have snuck in to second or maybe even first, same for Howson.
Being the most important matches coming up, I genuinely don't think a fair call can be made yet. Tettey still has time to push for this. Otherwise, for me it's Olsson
Generally Snodgrass has had a poor season, even by his own admission, if it weren't for injuries he would have probably not played so much. Howson has been excellent this season and when he played our midfield looks good. Olsson would come in second for me his commitment is show in just how many shot blocks he has this season. he's good going forward and backwards
Olsson for me, purely on consistency. Snodgrass has had good and bad spells, but his contribution when playing well tends to be much more noticeable. Olsson rarely has off-days, but his normal high standard is often swamped my mediocrity, or overshadowed by a goal or more eye-catching display. If they'd had more time in the side, Howson and Tettey would have probably made a good case for inclusion too.
Olsson or Snoddy for me at the moment, with Olsson just edging it. Still time for that to change though.
I voted for Snodgrass because I genuinely feel that he has the outward determination to motivate the team as well score some important goals. Best of a mediocre show to be fair but the most consistent over the season in my opinion.
Olsson for me, ahead of Howson based solely on number of appearances and has (to my knowledge) hardly ever let us down in all the games he's played
Michael Turner is the ONLY player we have who has performed conistently to a high standard in every game this season, but as he has been injured for so long now I guess this will get somewhat forgotten. Outside of Turner, it has to be Snodgrass. He has been scapegoat for alot of this season, entirely unfairly IMO. I would say he is our best player; even on his off day he is usually our most creative player, he has a real goal threat (he could be our league top scorer?) and not only does he work very hard defensively he is also actually very good at tackling and intercepting. The set-piece goals may have dried up this season but how many times has he picked Bassong et al out only for them to miss the target?
