All bottom 7 teams lost yesterday. Of those 7 teams that lost yesterday , the advantage lies with the ones that were playering higher guality teams cause they are out of the way without losing ground. Cardiff and Swansea got a few tough teams from Liverpool out of the way.

Did we actually sign Emnes and Ngog? I thought they were loan deals.

Emms to be fair has not been that bad and when you consider he was playing a different type of football in a league below then i think he has done ok for us. We definitely need a good finisher for next season though...

If I was Monk if Bony hadn't scored by half time, I'd put Emnes up front second half every game!.............<ok>

Are you forgetting the late goals that Bony tends to score, Dragon? When defenders tire late on, Bony's strength becomes more of a weapon. What we need then are more players running off him to pick up the bits and pieces.

Well I know Bony has done reasonably well this season with 10 Premier League goals, and I had him good for 15 this season, so he's well on target, but he needs to be sharpened and pushed, we need more goals, and we are not using Emnes anywhere near as much as we should, if Bony is scoring most of his goals late in the game then start Emnes up front for the first half, he's more mobile than Bony, but in my view if Bony has not scored after the first 60 minutes, I'd take him off and play Emnes in there. Emnes has not been able to develop some form with us, and he has the potential to hack it up front, besides we need more goals, and we should be getting more with Bony, Emnes, and Michu, we need some inspired thought to our front line, our lack of cutting edge is hurting us, and it needs sharpening.................<ok>

If we stay up and manage to keep Bony we need to find a player who is the ideal foil for him (a nippy strike a la Walcott) and also change our tactics to get to the bloody bye-line and cross it in. I don't think any of our loan signings are going to give us this. There's no point in having this guy who can hold the ball up and hold up defenders if we have nobody to run beyond him. Will we get this kind of player though if we're not prepared to stump up the cash. Given our threadbare squad and the low quality loanees we're going to need to get about 6 players in next season regardless of which division we're in especially if none of the kids are cutting the mustard (and if they're not then we've got to ask ourselves why?). I thought ML was brought in to help us develop into a well organised club from bottom to top with a good set up for developing young talent. Whose experience are we tapping now for developing this?

Uh, realised I've rambled. Back to the original point I think 35 points is going to be the threshold this season and I really do hope we can start clicking and putting the ball in the onion bag
