Whats the difference between players and playing staff? <doh> And you called him stupid <doh> If you play you're a player. If you don't you're coaching staff. There's a clue in 'playing'

More than any other fans. Anyway, we shouldn't be judgmental until he gives us details of all this experience within the club that went through a successful league and European campaign.

Do you see what the Mail have done there....?

Most loved table and then turns the article into a story about Chelsea being the most hated. Daily Fail.

So I doubt there will be a trophy, in the same way Fulham won't get a trophy if they finish bottom of the league.

If we win the league, why wouldnt he?
Its tradition for the Captain to pick up the trophy <doh>
He will probably be wearing shin pads too, seeing as he would have , barring injuries, have just played a match.
It's also customary for players to wear shin pads during a match too, just to offer you some football advice <ok>

Careful lads, don't want to let this thread get side tracked. We are currently waiting with baited breath for foredeckdave to enlighten us about when the Liverpool kitchen staff and the lady who cleans the bogs at Anfield helped win the European Cup.......

How does a 'rival watch and other teams' thread get side tracked?

No, you were referencing the fact that he collected the European Cup having not played, which will most likely be irrelevant seeing as if we won the league, barring injury, he will have played, so there is every chance he will collect the trophy whilst wearing shin pads.
Also UEFA told him he HAD to wear shin pads, as the Captain can only collect the trophy if he is dressed in his kit, UEFA rules. Not sure if the PL has the same rule tbh.
So if he hadnt worn shin pads, he couldnt have collected the trophy.
We played 13 games to win that trophy, JT played in 12 of them, so had every right to collect the trophy <ok>

Just to keep this little gem fresh in everyone's minds.....

Now, is it the car park attendant or the guy who mows the pitch that has this experience?

Well it isn't, the owners, club executives, manager, coaching staff or players.

He didn't have to wear shin pads, but he had to wear the kit. It's amazing how much people knit pick though, they soon found out about the kit rule so decided to move onto the shin pads.

The joke was two part - the first being a trophy for 'least liked club' - the second you refer to. Chelsea fans have said repeatedly about UEFA telling him to wear his kit - There is actually no UEFA rule at all about wearing kit. Your club may have instructed him to wear his kit, knowing that as a non-player he wanted to lift the trophy and the club thought he should do it in his kit, but if they also told him to put the shin pads on, that's hilarious <laugh>
