From the BBC Nigel Pearson: Leicester City manager in hospital with 'sickness' Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is in hospital after being taken ill on Saturday, the club have said. The 50-year-old complained of sickness before watching the Championship leaders draw 1-1 at Blackburn Rovers. In a statement, the club said Pearson "took the decision to seek medical advice as a precautionary measure" and will have further tests on Monday, when he is expected to be released. Leicester are five points clear at the top of the Championship. Assistant manager Craig Shakespeare carried out Saturday's post-match media duties following the draw at Ewood Park, which extended Leicester's unbeaten run to 17 league matches. Didn't he have a heart problem when he was with us ? Stress related no doubt - football management ain't the place to be with a dicky ticker.
Pearson did have a heart complaint while with us and spent a couple of nights in hospital. Get well soon Nige - life's too short to hold grudges
I dont know why anyone would hold 'a grudge' against him. I said time and time again on here that his departure had zero to do with money, it was simply after Adam bought Eff Cee Nigel knew Adam would be leaving and he didnt want to deal directly with the Allams. He knew then they were ****ing ridiculous and impossible to deal with and he wanted none of it. This is not hindsight, I know it as fact from the time and posted it. We can all now say he was right.
I know you're only young but you should sometimes think before you post. If he has an underlying health problem that is stress related then he probably needs to think about his future.
I didn't mind Nigel. Did a great job steadying the ship. Signed some players that are still important part of the squad. At the time when Allams where penny pinching Leicester where better chance of promotion.
That was my thinking as well. What stress ffs. NP has the most comfy of seats in the championship now. Appears to be similar to what he had when he first came here according to Shaker. Get well soon Nigel.
I found him hard to warm to. He always came across as aloof, arrogant and sneering when interviewed, and he still does now that he's at Leicester. I didn't like his gracelessness towards us when he left, either. Not a kind word to say about the club - fair enough, perhaps - but no word of thanks or positivity towards us fans either. I hope he gets well, but really - **** him. Sockfaced ****.
Speak for yourself. I do. That's not the point though. Yeah, I hope he gets better..... but do I give a **** about him? Nah.
IIRC Pearson was off for a couple of weeks when he was with us. He had chest pains and was admitted for a week for tests but sure they didn't find anything wrong. So could be similar again if it is stress related. Hope he is ok. Flat head and dour demeanour but don't wish him ill.
I've wished him ill ever since he left City. Not personal ill-will, but professional. I've been hoping his career would nosedive.
Life is too short Polly. He has gone, move on and let it go. Karma has a way of finding it's way to those that need a swift kick in the pants.
Out of interest, why? Not saying you're wrong, just interested. He left for the exact reasons we're all seeing now. If your boss was a petty megalomaniac who was mental and a disaster waiting to happen who could overshadow all your hard work in one moment and someone else offered you a similar job, might you be tempted?
I don't need to let it go. It's not something which plays on my mind, but when the subject comes up I'll chip in. No need to worry about me.
