Manchester United do not want Liverpool to win the league, and they are facing their noisy neighbour tomorrow. Are they going to put their bragging rights aside and fail to perform against Manchester City?. Chelsea and Arsenal also in the picture. You think United are going to perform tomorrow?.
don't see them wanting to lose the game on purpose, but i do see some experiments being done with players and formations ready for next season. they could i suppose want to go and teach city a lesson and say look the gap isnt as bad as it looks so watch out next season, we just have a ****e manager at the helm
i thought west ham were going to cream them on saturday but west ham were that f'n bad... No, i agree they will "experiment" with the CL in mind. Carrick out of their midfield actually improved them as fletcher played. We saw buttner but i am unsure if he will be picked again or what. Evra is suspended for the CL first leg so we might see the same team again! I have to say anythign other than a mullering will be a shock so I expect city to win well enough.
To answer the question posed - NEVER! It's a derby so anything can happen but neither side will be considering anything but themselves - and that's the way it should be. My preference would be a draw with City hitting the woodwork 8 times and missing 3 penalties.
Fat Sam has always been a friend of the mancs. Looking at Citys run in, if they are going to throw it away it would have to be in the next 4 games (3 of which are away to united, the arse and us). The only game after that they might find tough is Everton away but basically it is theirs to lose as it stands.
Utd will lose regardless. They couldn't perform for their only cup final last Sunday , what makes you think they'll perform here?
I'll be screaming for a Utd result of any kind. However, improbable, it'd be good to know that we win the lot, we win the league.
I'm looking forward to it. Whatever the result there's something in it for us. Either City drop points, or Utd get tonked- again.
Hate seeing United win, but want what is best for us. City to get draws against United and Arsenal would be ideal. But I think they will win both their games. If coty are to lose one i expect it to be against one of the lower teams whothey may underestimate. (And us hopefully.)
Sadly, I don't see City underestimating us at the moment. They'd have to have been living in a cave not to notice how strong we are. I think it's impossible to predict a game like that, but hopefully we have the firepower to out-gun them because that's what I see it coming down to.
At least it's at Old Trafford so the tears of Utd supporters will help soothe the burn of City picking up points
Hope United win, they're not remotelly rivalling us this year so any "bragging rights" can't be directed at us for them winning 3 games in a row lol... ...and if it does us the ultimate favour (we still have to beat City too lol) then they're hardly likely to shout about it!
