I'm sure someone must have mentioned it, but I only saw it a few minutes back on MOTD2. The twat goalkeeper who played for both ManU and ManC said that big players play for big clubs. So, how do smaller clubs ever progress..? For me, the biggest players don't go and find the big money, but pull their smaller club up into the big time.

Personally, I hope his twitter account explodes.

It's exploding alright, with Man Utd fans thinking Lallana is a done deal. If he does leave I really hope it isn't for them.

It also happens to be the reality in which we live. When smaller clubs pop up, they tend to see their best players depart. If it wasn't thus, we wouldn't have the small clique of dominant teams at the top.

Never say never, but Rickie referred to Adam as Mr Southampton who wears his heart on his sleeve. Not saying we can keep all our best players, but this is the time we are most likely to. The team feel excited and happy with their lot....keep Mauricio and most will want to stay.

So we'll see if we can change the mould.

Besides, if Chelsea can do it, others can. If Man City can do it, others can. Those clubs had a reasonable history of winning a few trophies, but before their recent rise during the last decade neither were any more successful than say Aston Villa. In fact that's a very poor example and an injustice to that club, Aston Villa were way more successful than both. Yet Saints could be considered on a par with them at present.

The trick is, have an overall vision that players buy into [check], and keep those best players so that they attract even better players to the club [check]. So far, so good.

Don't how Rooney didn't get booked there. United should have a player sent off by now.

How the hell is Fellaini still on the pitch.

With Everton winning, now 2-0, and Arsenal losing to Swansea, surely the gap between the two must be really close now?

I do hope ManC don't thrash ManU this evening. 2-0 seems fine enough. Any more and we'll have wall to wall enquiries again, from every pundit in the land, as to what ManU have to do to improve. So, please, leave at 2-0, ManC, because I'd like to read football news that isn't dominated by one particular club.

    Except my own, that is.
