But that's the best thing about football is the unknown. 2 goals is possibly the worse as you don't know whether to sit back or go for the third. If Jet was to of scored one of his two chances (granted game play would of been changed) and Waggy got his making it three then we would of won by possibly more. But it's a point towards safety when loads was saying we will be forth division for definite a few weeks ago. A point a game now would and should mean safety. My only concern now is the team goes back into a shell, but hopefully Patterson will get fitter and fire us to safety earlier than May.
But then we are not Tottenham and we never will be, nor even Southampton. Its all relative in football. Wolves are the rough equivalent of a game at Man City for us We are what we are - get over it The other option is support a Premier League side like half of Bristol seems to do, something that would never happen in the North or London. Not real supporters methinks
I do get over it, have done for sixty five seasons and while I have a soft spot for several other clubs such as Livingston, Shrewsbury and Liverpool, my team has, is and always will be Brostol City. As for your last comment about the North and London - well they have the real thing on their doorsteps don't they! And yet I bet there are Arsenal fans living in Liverpool and Manchester and vice versa. One day it may happen here and we'll then see whether the "Flock" dump the big boys and follow us!
No one is more a Bristol City "supporter" than me, I sleep, eat & drink them...always been a fan of Man.Utd & follow Accrington Stanley, where I have friends who support them...going down to see Stanley at Exeter next Saturday, but will follow City's progress on twitter at Rotherham.
The last thing I want is to see City playing Stanley next season...my god that would be a downer!!!!!
BEP player marks for Colchester: Frank Fielding – made some fine saves, but had no chance with either goal - 7 Brendan Moloney – excellent going forward, he made the second goal - 6 Nyron Nosworthy – STAR MAN - won his personal battles and led by example - 7 Karleigh Osborne – strong in the air, he was a dominant force - 7 Derrick Williams – did well against Ibehre for the most part - 6 Scott Wagstaff – capped a hard-working performance with a deserved goal - 6 Simon Gillett – broke up play and offered the back four protection - 6 Wade Elliott – a livewire performance, he linked midfield and attack - 6 Martin Paterson – scored a poacher’s goal and fitted into the team well - 6 Jay Emmanuel-Thomas – made one goal and should have scored one himself - 6 Sam Baldock – caused constant problems with his ability to run in behind - 6 Read more: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristo...tory-20843432-detail/story.html#ixzz2wpVBhNZG
The markings are ????? As SC said we had three central midfielders on the pitch yet not one was anywhere near Sears as he scored the equaliser. We are still conceding unnecessary goals because the team do not defend as a team. Until this is sorted, the dreamers among us should pipe down with their forecasts of success next season. We should stay up this season but we aren't going anywhere upwards in a hurry while we cannot defend against hit and hope twenty yarders like Sears goal and the one by the Shrews centre half.
