Alonso's was the best of all tbh, Suarez a close second only because he was a bit further forward. I still think they are all goalkeeper ****ups though
Bit of both I reckon. It takes vision and balls, but also a keeper who has taken his eye of the game.
Yeh the keeper has to be out of position but when the balls that far out you can forgive them for wandering forward a few yards. Not something they expect all to often.
I actually think Suarez's was better. The keeper had gone up for a corner with Alonso's so there was no one in net and the ball trickled along the floor (more or less) once it reached the eighteen yard box, no way it would have gone in had there been a keeper (obviously wouldn't have shot either though). Suarez's was a rocket that went straight in despite there being a keeper. It didn't loop like Alonso's (other one), Beckham's or Rooney's, it was a hard powerful and direct shot that the keeper couldn't stop. I'd rate them: 1) Suarez 2) Beckham 3) Alonso (vs Luton) 4) Rooney 5) Alonso (vs Newcastle) It was unheard of when Beckham did it, plus he was a young kid in a already successful team full of star players. It took bollocks to try it and he gave the keeper no chance. Only reason I put Rooney next was because his was on the volley, something I think is harder to do that off the ground. However, as has already been highlight, the keeper would have saved it had it gone directly towards goal. Alonso's against Newcastle is last because the keeper tripped whilst back tracking and it would have gone in otherwise.
Figueroa's was better than all of them.
Did I watch a different goal? The one I saw the keeper was on the edge of the 18 yard box and it went over him. Good strike I admit, but if the keeper was positioned near his line like he would on any other shot he'd have just picked the ball out of the air.
