Ozil wasn't brought in to score goals, his job is to make goals, which he has done so far, he is our top assist maker, and around the joint 3rd in the league.

What nonsense! So you bought an attacking midfielder for £42m for him to make goals? Gerrard does that playing defensive midfield and he has more assist than Ozil and Ozil players just behind the main guy.
Assist actually implies someone scoring at the other end. Liverpool's midfielders have the easiest job in the world creating assists for Suarez and Sturridge. I could create assists for that duo. Our midfield has a harder job providing assists for Giroud who a) has no pace and b) cannot hit a donkey's arse with a banjo.
I thought you said stats dont mean anything? Double standards much? But yes the assist statistic would indicate someone scoring on the end of the pass. Giroud cant score for ****.
Doest help when that £42m player cant even score many as well. Then again, you made him the biggest Arsenal transfer ever to just pass the ball and assist is just ludicrous?... Because he cant defend, he doesnt run much, if you paid £42m just for assisting, than Arsenal should stop complaining about Giroud
You obviously don't know anything about Ozil and the type of player he is, he isn't a goal scorer, and he wasn't brought in to score goals, he was brought in to create and make goals, that's his main task in the team, and if he had someone to the level of Suarez he would be making more assists than Gerrard, and btw how many seasons has Gerrard been in the EPL? Comparing a player who's been in the EPL for 10 plus seasons with a player who's just starting in the EPL and he's still the joint 3rd top assist maker. And yes we paid 42 million for Ozil, and I'm very happy we broke the bank for him, he will get better and better as he settles into the EPL. That 42 million didn't cause a single loss on our balance sheet, we got lot's of money, and can still spend another 100 million if we want to.
Well as he is out now for 6 weeks, he was on 6 goals before his injury, so he could've ended the season with 10 plus goals, which wouldn't be bad at all, plus being our top assist maker, job very well done. Once we buy a top striker though, and Ozil settles, you won't be trying to put him down anymore.
Im not worried about Ozil. He has only shown his top form in little patches but with a full Season and Pre - Season behind him he will be smashing through teams next term. We really need Ramsey back though at least he gets goals from midfield.
Not only has Ozil had to deal with Giroud, but one of our main threats and last seasons top goal scorer, Theo, has been out for 95% of the season, he was the perfect player for Ozil as he likes to make good runs behind the defenders etc. If you watch the Coventry Fa Cup game, just look at Ozil's assist to Podolski, now with someone like Walcott on the wings who's much faster than Podolski, such assists by Ozil would probably become something recurrent, pretty much like how Pires used to feed Henry in.
This is why is said Ozil reminds me of Bobby! But I got shot down Ozil will never be a goal scorer like The Iceman but Bobby was the assists king with Henry!!
