All that depends upon whether the FA would register a new club as AFC Hull City, or if it was successful no other club adopts the name Tigers. We have many clubs called United, City, Town even some called Albion. There is already one club called Tigers with a much more prominent City name than Hull.

Your hatred seems to be more to do with Assam Allam. If you have watch the interview with Ehab Allam, he actually comes across very well, a well spoken clever individual. I reckon he knows as well as we do, that his father, Assam, isn't very good with his English and the way he words things, thats granted. However, after listening to Ehab, he installed a lot of trust in him from a lot of fans.

We will all ALWAYS call the club CITY in our area, even Ehab said he does! But it's time to push the club further, making it globally know.

=====

So when overseas and some one says who do you support say HULL CITY and they will know your not a Manchester city supporter .

Also the FA said NO.

So the Allams can't change the name even if the fans wanted it to change .....which they don't.

Your way of thinking is all wrong.

It's full of kow towing to what other clubs' fans think, what AA thinks he deserves, the power of money.

**** all that.

It's OUR club, we've only got one, let's have it how we want it- regardless of what level we play at.

Peddling that rubbish will only get him so far.

Asking questions of the chairman's business ventures isn't a crime. We've not seen anything of a plan on how he'll do this. There's nothing about whose coming in, what money they've got, how they'll market the club when it changes. Just hearsay and easy answers. That for some reason, people have swallowed.

No facts, no statistics, no plan, coupled with his dreadful PR isn't going to make vote in favour.

Remind me, what kit are the team wearing in their first ever team photo(1904), included in our submission to the FA?

No one said it was a crime to question such change. In fact, i'd question the support if they wasn't to question any change at the club. It's a game of opinions, from on the pitch right up to the chairman. You can't tell someone their opinion is wrong, because it's an opinion. Simple as that.

I think after all he has done for OUR club, he deserves a chance at doing this.

He came across as scum in his bitchy trashing of a former manager.Unbelievably cheap and juvenile.

He offered no concrete commercial facts to underpin the name change argument.

Time frame?

Estimation in millions of extra income accruing?

How will 'appeal' translate into cash?

Anyone reassured by Ehab's 'expertise' or 'manner' in that interview needs their bumps felt.

I felt queasy watching it .

Our club name is sacred.

No one REPEAT no one , least of all a cranky embittered non football person, will ever have the right to meddle with our name.

My opinions:-

Your user name could do with a change itself.

Anybody voting 1 or 3 is prepared to give up their right to call us City again, regardless of the poll result & any decision from the FA & as such need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Anybody who believes that the proposed name change is anything more than Allam throwing a petulant tantrum because he didn't get his own way with the CITY Council is a little on the 'tard side.

In the season when we gained automatic promotion to the Premier League he increased our turnover by £35,000, less than the price of 1,000 shirts.

Ehab has said it will take 5 years for the name change to make a difference. Lets put the name of our club onto the roulette wheel and see where we end up. On Football Focus yesterday we saw what an extension to a council house looks like. The development of the Etihad looked pretty impressive to me. I know Assem Allam isn't that rich but we could have had something similar but smaller. But he doesn't talk to the council and issues corrections when they donate money to his squash tournament.

The FA Membership Committee, according to the press reports, said no because he hadn't made out a business case. I don't think a flawed ballot is going to change that opinion.

I don't know I haven't seen the submission.

What I do know is that we played our first ever game against Notts Co in stripes.

I suspect the white shirts (see cover of Mike Peterson's centenary history book )was a training strip.

Training strips are not official kit.

Why does it? I support the club whatever the name is or isn't. I simply believe Allams deserve a chance at being able to change something they own. But, if not, then so be it, it doesn't bother me.
What bothers me, is people who are so short minded to forget exactly what the Allams have done for us as a club and a City, to call him all the names under the sun because he wants to do something a few people don't like.

For me, whoever stuck the CTID leaflet on his car window stepped over the line.

I'm signing out of this, I have kept quite on this topic for some time, and I will continue to do so after the small outburst of my opinion. It's up to the FA at the end of the day, see you at West Ham!

Then you're supporting a franchise not Hull City.

Be very clear about that.

They will not 'always be City to me'.

It is not strictly true to say that Hull City wore amber and black colours from the start. A team photograph from the very first game, a friendly against Notts County on 1 September 1904, showed the players wearing all white shirts, black shorts and black socks with a white top. However, it was not long before the famous amber and black colours and the ‘Tigers’ nickname was adopted.

http://thebeautifulhistory.wordpress.com/clubs/hull-city/

The picture in our FA submission from that game, was from Geoff Bielby, who's great uncle was one of Hull City's founder members.

It seems every pro-name changer on here ultimately isn’t bothered about the name change.

If you’re not bothered, why change?

Vote no to Hull Tigers and don’t bother posting about it.

Totally AA would be more appropriate.

Nobody has forgotten what he's done. Many are recognising what he's currently doing such as, increasing the club's debt to a level that is around 300% - 400% higher than when he took over. He's putting the future of the club at further risk for no other reason than a childlike spat with the local council. He's lied to the supporters numerous times. Made ill informed threats in the press. He pretends the club needs major investment whilst admitting we'll break even this year & be in profit next year. Sponsorship will be needed next year as current deals expire yet we'll attract the best deals we ever had because of the success of Hull City AFC.

We have a PL team with a Northern Premier marketing strategy. People pipe on that AA needs credit in appointing a leading manager in Steve Bruce, maybe he should apply the same logic to the club's marketing & appoint somebody will the relevant skills & knowledge.

Your opinion is ill informed & ignorant of the facts. You won't see me anywhere near West Ham.

Having been born on April 9, 1950 (Hedon Rd. Maternity Hospital) and a City supporter since the late fifties, the FA's rejection of the name change proposal will make the perfect birthday gift.

He's not the only one.

Vote 1 or 3 & you're giving up that right
