I still stand by my prediction of Fulham, Cardiff, Palace for the drop. Sunderland have a bit of quality to get themselves out of this mess, and two games in hand as well. Palace are just ****e, utter ****e, and as I kept saying there's only so long that bag'o'****e can carry on scraping results they don't deserve after 20% possession and 1 shot (off target). I'd be pleased if Sunderland or someone went instead of palace, as I think palace would have lead weights tied to their feet next season and make up the 3rd relegation spot along with leicester and derby (who I'm tipping for't playoffs)
One of Sunderland's games in hand is at the Etihad and I don't see them getting anything there. Failure to beat Palace last week and losing to Norwich yesterday could ultimately prove their undoing
Just looked at the championship table. **** me Burnley ten points clear of third, good for us if they come up. I'd like Palace to go down but think Sunland are ****ed.
Also, if you recall during that infestation, a number of us did some forecast thing (sorry, can't remember the name of it) and I had Sunderland winning something like1 or 2 more points during the remainder of the season and going down. My sanity was called into question by a large number of mackems because, hey, the form table doesn't like and they were riding high in that. Sort of. Same ones who claimed 11v11 would see us sent packing. 9 players = we win 1 nil 10 players = we win 2 nil 11 players = we win 3 nil Shame we can't let them have 14 or 15 players next time. I wish I'd bookmarked that prediction, it would be funny to remind the fookers. As much as some teams like to be the victim, the Mackems seem to enjoy hating ex managers, its their "thing" and they're doomed if they carry on like yesterday.
Last day fixtures Sunderland v. Swansea could be a tasty affair Fulham v. Palace could be for the wooden spoon Cardiff v. Chelsea could see Chelsea crowned champs WBA v. Stoke could be must win for the bags City v. Everton could be party atmosphere before Wembley!
Correct: they need 7 players to beat us 1-0. I still think they’ll win a couple of unlikely games to get out of it and Poyet will be regarded as great again…until the next time.
4 points will be plenty. As you say, we maybe already have enough now even. And just as well. We'll do well to take anything from the 3 remaining tough home games. Maybe a point. Likewise away. A point at any of those grounds, including West Ham and Stoke, would be decent. Fulham is of course the best chance of a win. So, anywhere between 2 and 5 more points for us are likely in reality. And that will be enough. Not meaning to be negative. After all, we were made dead certs for relegation at the start, so survival, even in 17th, and at least a SF, is an incredible achievement.
Thats brilliant. "look at the goalie he's run the wrong way". "Its better than listening to my drivel"
"It was a well taken goal" be about as much as you'd get out of him, if his own player had just scored it.
I have said it for weeks, but IMO we shall be safe by the Swansea City game. Then we can enjoy the run into the europa league for next season. I expect Swansea to get beat @ Arsenal tuesday night(suffer a gunner backlash) and Sunderland to get beat @ Liverpool wednesday night. In fact one more Win maybe be enough now.
Dito.l Plus, Sunderland have re-arranged there home game with WBA for wednesday May 7th before the Swansea game. Could it be a cunning plan. 2 wins to stay up and 2 packed houses ? Hhhhhmmmmmmm
Nope. Taking nothing away from Rooney, But... What the heck was the GK Adrian doing.? He lost his bearings and compuss
