Funny old team you lot. How can you lose 6-0? No matter how **** we were from 2010-2012 I never thought we would lose against a rival like that. It just doesn't happen. Its unacceptable. That 8-2 from a few years ago allowed that to be possible. Not you've lost 3 big games this season. That is not acceptable for a team as big as Arsenal.
Yeah. Its difficult because he's been there so long and he is still good, but just not quite good enough now. Seriously though. He should have left after letting 8 in against a rival. Just horrific. Today is horrendous too. You shouldn't lose by more that 4-0 ever as far as I am concerned.
You remember Blockbuster Video? Well I compare Wenger to how they ran their business in their final years. At one point in time it was amazing, revolutionary, the best about.. but as the years roll by different marketing practices were taken up and used and expanded on. The dinosaurs (Blockbuster) just sad idly by watching their sad outdated formats fail them and watch their business crumble around them. THIS is Arsene Wenger in a nutshell. He is a dinosaur from a past age. You will *never* win anything with him and yes I am sticking my neck out here and I think Wigan are going to give you a game and then some.
I'm worried about the Wigan game too. This set of players don't know how to cope with pressure. Any pressure. Goodness knows what will happen in the cup finals.
The performance and result yesterday was one of the worst I've ever seen and I think all genuine Arsenal fans were sick to the back teeth having to witness that. I know we all have different opinions on here, positive and negative, but what I found particularly galling was some of our more negative fans posting smileys and lol's when we were losing almost like they were lapping it up.
The performance proved exactly what we are, 4th best team in the country. Shipping 17 goals away to the 3 teams above us is unacceptable but shows exactly why we cannot ever be considered better that 4th. The interview A87 posted was a good one, as that fella said we lost any chance of winning the league in January, especially after Theo went down in early Jan (and AW had 3 weeks to do something about it) so the back up striker to our already weak strikers was gone. What worries me more is that next season Chelsea, Man Utd and M City will be stronger, Liverpool have proved they're at least on a par if not better than us this year (we've yet to see how the demands of playing midweek affect them) so I see us struggling for Champions League football in 15/16 I really do. All a bit humiliating and depressing really....
What else can you do? It's comical, especially considering the fact it happened just last month. So lolio indeedio all the way, we are a laughing stock, that's a fact, what else do you call shipping 17 goals past us against 3 rivals?
