Bony off, Michu on says it all. why take off your best chance of a goal and your best player on the park when your trying to win or gain a point ?? The bloke is thick as fook fair play. Apparently Monk said it was done to give fresh impetous to the attack !!.. If we stay up it would be in spite of monk not because of him .
If he wanted fresh impetus then play Bony and Michu up front. Hell were losing 3-1 we could have changed formation even to give there defence something to think about. To take Bony off well, that was a schoolboy error, which Monk is getting very good at.
I`ve tried to give Monk the chance to sort it out before judging him but its getting silly now ! And the board are loosing thier shine a bit too.
Was never a "Monk out " issue , it was a "Laudrup " out issue . But now that its done , it's Monks job to keep us up. Bad luck today again and remember , we don't know why subs were made. I think Monks is doing an ok job considering the board ripped the heart and soul out of this team when they sacked Laudrup
I don't blame Monk for taking the job but I blame the board for appointing him. We are lucky that Laudrup probably accrued just about enough points to keep us up. Monk to join the coaching staff and a few board members need to leave. I really hoped Monk would work out but he's been found out already. Just want this season to end. A decent manager needed for next season - no idea who though... ...actually isn't that Laudrup fella free at the moment?...
Thought we played quite well today actually, and looked more dangerous after Monk's substitutions - but that is just my opinion - was only at the game so obviously haven't got the in depth analytical insight that you armchair warriors have. Play like that until the end of the season and we'll be okay - 3-2 flattered Everton; if Bony had put away his chances we would have won - just a shame Monk took him off or he could have missed a few more! But agree that Monk should be sacked; it is so embarrassing to lose to a team like Everton at Goodison, we should beat struggling teams like this easily! The final straw was bringing on that cart horse Shelvey - what the hell was Garry thinking? And as for the board - give me strength - they obviously want us to be relegated; why don't they spend some money instead of paying peanuts for players like Bony, Shelvey, Michu, Hernandez etc. who are obviously not PL standard! I absolutely agree with the football brains on here who say our players aren't good enough, there is absolutely no quality in our team - why do they persist at trying to pass the ball around - we should be hoofing the ball into the oppositions penalty area and hoping for a deflected goal - that is what football is all about! Why oh why do we persist with this passing football bollox? We should ditch our entire footballing philosophy and play a game that is alien to us to appease the fans that have jumped on the bandwagon since we have been in the Premier League! Or we could just continue trying to play the right way and hope that results will follow our performances! We may be relegated this season, but if we are I hope we go down fighting! If it happens so be it - will still have my season ticket seat and will be shouting just as loud! We may lose a few plastics, but would that be a bad thing?
Im getting your drift here cartoon....Everyone's a manager... I think we put in a good performance and like you say could have easily won if bony had put away half the chances he got. thats not monks fault was it. He did the right thing in swapping him for michu to see if he could put away the chances, sadly it never happened but to say we were rubbish is way off the mark. Everton at their place and we looked the better side so nobody can fault monk for his tactics at all, we dont have the quality up front is our problem, we don't have a really good finisher because if we had we would have beaten everton yesterday and we would have beaten Napoli and most of the other teams. We cant fault monk for the football we are playing now that for sure. We lack quality in a few positions thats all is a matter with us nothing else. Monk is nailed on to be the manager next season anyway and i cant see us being relegated when there are so many teams in a worse position than us. We look good and have either matched or been the better side in every game since monk took over and its been noticed by anyone who is anyone in football. Next season will be our season when we will add to the squad with some quality we are lacking. I thought chico was very good and unlucky to give away the dubious penalty and a few more players of his commitment and quality and we wont go far wrong....
dubious penalty Dai, it was like a train wreck, the guy is an idiot. another attempt at provocation. i am wondering if you were watching the same game I was. we were all over them the last 10-15 min of the first half, bad luck the whistle blew. Laudrup would have made better substitutions. Monk will not be the manager next season.
Only 1 player has more goals and 1 player has more assists than that "Cart Horse" cartoon , maybe you should open your eyes while your there.
Yes , I know , I was just joining in steve. We have a great team expierencing some off field distractions. I just hope they can re focus the rest of the season .
Monk out! We have to remove this inept manager asap to allow the club to rebuild and move on. Any delay will hold us back, sack him and sack him now. The team is more split since he took over and often look clueless. Monk has clearly over reached himself after stabbing Laudrup in the back. He can take the other backstabber Ashleigh Williams with him. They formed a players clique and both think they are bigger than the club. Lets see how they fare elsewhere! Not good enough, will never be good enough. He should have his stuff packed up and delivered to him.
Not so quick , think we should wait out a few weeks after the end of the season to see who is in and who wants out. If there is a huge rush of players to get out the door , Monk might as well join them .if not , I' m not against Monk starting out because the Laudrup fiasco wont be on the players minds .My biggest fear with Monk is he is to close to the team, which should have been a plus, but it doesnt seem to be a plus .
I fear HJ will stick with him until Christmas and by then it will be too late. I look at Cardiff this season and just dont see us doing any better under Monk. Just to reiterate I like the guy but sorry this job is just too big for him right now.
