An interesting sound the Stranglers and The Doors together. Not bad and decent others on scotticusnorvigicus YT channel. As it happens I'll be seeing the Stranglers in a fortnights time on 40th Anniversary Tour, old git I am.
This is the most Clash sounding song without actually being The Clash
I see what you did there Ive never listened to Rancid, thats not how I imagined them sounding at all ... I had assumed they were more death metal-punk noise type rubbish, thats a surprisingly decent tune I was looking for another " sound-a-like clash " Its a song that goes " if I die in the combat zone , box me up and ship me home, If I die on the russian front bury me with some russian **** .... " It was sung by a band with " Blue " somewhere in their name ...... this drove me up the wall , but finally .... actually it doesnt sound quite like I remember it
Sorry for the tardy reply, but "if I die in a combat zone etc......." is from "Where The Rose Is Sown" by Big Country
its in the screaming blue messiahs tune too, Im sure thats the one that waqs in my head. Ah, big country, they were quite good for a spell I didnt think it was tardy
Tim Armstrong's (leader singer of Rancid) ex-Mrs, Brody Dalle, is mighty fine here too
