The commentators claiming it's one of the greatest and something people will talk about for years. Seems to be far more down to Keeper error than Rooney brilliance. It was an impressive Volley and I know it's hard to get accuracy and power from that far out but Adrian made a complete mess of it. The ball bounced before it even made it in, he should really have been all over that.

Maybe I'm just being cynical and a bit annoyed because it has over shadowed Tettey's wonder strike, but Rooney's wasn't unstoppable.

Doesn't matter, it was an impressive goal.

Think it will over shadow Tettey goal a bit, getting a goal from that sort of distance will be more memorable. But both great goals in their own right.

Suarez scored a better goal than Rooney's against some team which name escapes me...<whistle>

Not taking anything away from Rooney, it was still a brilliant bit of skill and quick thinking, it's more the reaction from the pundits and the like that has annoyed me. I unfortunately agree with JWM that Suarez's against us was better, because it was further out, The goal keeper actually tried to save it and it went straight in without the bounce.

Would've been goal of the month if it weren't for Rooney's impressive effort today.

    Just our luck really.

Totally agree <ok> Sure it was a great hit and all, bit what on earth was the keeper doing? If it had gone into the top corner or something then yeah, wow! But as you say, it bounced first so I'm not entirely sure why everyone is creaming themselves quite as much as they are.

    Tettey's was definitely better <ok>

Yaya Touré 3rd goal was pretty great too, just saw it on MOTD.

Toure's 3rd is a pretty good contender for goal of the day as well

Rooney's will win goal of the month, which is a shame because I think Tetteys was better and he would win it any other month.

    Best team goal today...

    Take your pick from Liverpool's 4,5 and 6th! <ok>

They have been a class apart this season! <ok>

Attacking wise man city have probably been their equals and defensively many teams have looked better. Some of the goals that Suarez and Sturridge have easily been the best front two though. Man city have the best midfield.

I have a lot of the wife's family living on Merseyside and they are all hardcore Liverpool fans. I must admit that I have always had a soft spot for them especially when Johnny played for them! It's hard to imagine that we were once great rivals...TWTD <laugh>

There were many excellent goals today but I thought that Snodgrass's clinical finish meant as much and was coolly taken.

And owed a great deal to Goalmander's composure in spotting his run and teeing him up.
Swansea's first was a supreme example of slick movement and a fine team goal.
After Saturday's results, let's be honest, considering which end(s) they were scored in, from a NCFC point of view, they were all worldies yesterday <laugh> <ok>
