Davies - Immense as always Long - won a pen, scored a goal. proper striker. Rosenior - first goal in 120-odd league games for us.
Davies - Who else? Arguably the best CH we've ever had (and we've had some great ones). Long - Scored a goal against his old team, made another, worked his socks off despite nagging injury. Huddlestone - Ran the mid-field, fantastic strike (brilliant save by Foster), back to his best
Davies Chester Jelavic Pleased for Rosie to finally get off the mark after 4 years but his all round game wasn't as good as those 3.
Jelavic - he's a pain in the arse of every team we play. Thudd - one of his better games and adds quality to set pieces. Davies- Woy needs his head testing. A class above every week.
Davies Huddlestone Chester Hard to pick cos no one stood out as really bad or good to me. We defended well and looked like scoring a third second half but they had loads of possession and we really struggled to get the ball and keep it for more than a single pass at times. Thought WBA looked poor. They had loads of the ball and did nothing with it. Our attack found it easy to create chances when we went forward. Also a bit sympathetic for them because that pen made a big difference. Not sure of it was a pen until I see the replay but I'm always suspicious of a striker going down when running away from goal.
