(Discarding the result and performance of today's match)During our game last Tuesday at home to Coventry, my old mate next to me gave Mr Taylor a piece of his mind to which PT reacted and had a right go at him...today, PT came up to our seats to personally appologise to my mate and said he can say whatever the hell he likes and shook his hand. Now I feel that is absolutely brilliant of him to do that. Massive respect.

That is decent of PT today and to be fair to your mate, if i had been sitting there, I would have been absolutely scathing of Taylor as soon has i saw the starting line up. I even turned to my son and said i had this down as a draw but you can now forget that! A 1-3 defeat and I'm not surprised in the least and completely predictable, same ole, same ole. This tinkering is driving me nuts. I've heard from her indoors there was a virus in the Gills camp but i've seen nothing to validate this.

There was a piece on KentOnline abut the virus.

Good to see PT being humble enough to apologise, will give him credit for that and not the managerial decisions he made today.

Virus or not, today we were gutless, spineless and utterly useless. The worst thing about it, as BRB suggests, was that you could see it coming.

Only linganzi can come away with any credit in my opinion, worst performance since Colchester away.

There was. Not sure how much it affected the chosen starting line up, but it must have caused some disruption.

Agree that was decent of PT.
Football (any sport actually) is highly charged and stressful. In the past, I have coached kids teams and I think if, during a game, someone had started having a go at me about my coaching, I would have reacted too :)
I know he's a professional and fans pay their money, but you can easily react in the heat of the moment. Fair play to him for apologising. And maybe a good move in that your mate might think better of PT now and not be in a hurry to throw criticism at him again.

I was so disgusted with that lack-lustre performance on Saturday that I had made up my mind to avoid commenting, but how a whole team can! oh! what's the point it will only fall victim to the swear filter.
