Luckily for us Torquay, Northampton and Portsmoiuth managed 1 point beteen them. But the shock result was Exeter. That should have been a win for Fleetwood with Exeter being under us tonight.
Don't worry about us, we'll get that last relegation place after Torquay. You have nothing to worry about.
I don't want Wycombe to go down either. Of the teams in the relegation mix, I wouldn't mind if Torquay, Accrington and/or Bury went down. Would like Northampton and you guys to stay up.
Sorry but i don't care who goes down as lomg as it isn't us. Accy should go if there was justice in football for their crowds and stadium- both crap!
as for who should go down, as long as its not us I don't care! but in an ideal world it would be great to get rid of Accrington and Exeter! ideally Northampton and bury (both local-ish) and Portsmouth will stay up with us
I thought Exeter would be going down but then they go and thump Fleetwood. All games are unpredictable at present and anything could happen.
No-one has reported back so here goes. First half, given the opposition, played really well. Styche was unlucky with one chance that came back off the post ( you could tell from his reaction how badly he wants that first goal) and more pressure and corners followed but couldn't make the dominance count.. Early in the second half Dale take the lead with a good finish from the edge of the box. We huffed and puffed but a combination of the ball not running nicely and a lack of quality up front meant we never really looked like scoring. Ingram pulled off a couple of good saves but from a scrambled corner Dale scored again and 2-0. Given the amount of the game we had I'm surprised Rochdale are top as they would probably have conceded against most other teams in the first half. The optimist says that if we play like this every week we'll be fine. The pressimist says if we play like this and still lose then we're in trouble. Styche tries his heart out but the longer the game went on his first touch deserted him and he lacked composure when he did have time. Pittman appeared for the first time since the autumn - it must be time for him to try and earn a contract again Given the next 2 games are at Burton and Scunny its difficult to expect more than 1 point from those. Dagenham at home after that looks vital - winnable against a team probably just about safe before the huge home games against Rovers and the Cobblers. PS I wouldn't mock Waddock too much. Although it finished badly, overall Waddock did a decent job. Season 1 at least went down with some fight (unlike a whimper as it was under Taylor) and got us back up again the following year. Yes, relegated again after that, but with our budget always going to be a stuggle to stay up. Given we don't have a youth system anymore it wouldn't surprise me if he entices Dobbo over to work with their young players, especially if they do go up.
