Penalty against CHico but he'd been left to cover half the pitch.

 

In all honesty I'd say we have been the better team today. Our poxy defence has cost us big time. Plus some mental management.

 

Agree. Can't blame Monk for the goals as they were all defensive mistakes by our poor defenders but Bony should never have come off. I wouldn't have brought JDG on for Dyer either.

 

I wonder how many supporters will turn up for Championship matches if we get relegated.

 

So why haven't Everton taken Lukaku off then ? The game is won right ?

Guess that's where Monk hasn't got a clue. Need Goals - Takes top scorer off.

Apart from us .. (although not unexpected) only the Palace result is disappointing.

 

Shelvey should have replaced Canas. Either way Its a stupid substitution.

The thing is, other than the defensive mistakes and the stupid substitutions, we played well today against Everton

 

Unfortunately we're no Liverpool and can't paper over our calamitous defensive deficiencies by scoring more than we concede. Oh well, onwards and upwards!

 

Palace lose!

 

We play well against teams who are expected to beat us then screw up against ones we should beat.
Noticeable that other teams' goalkeepers make saves.

 

We could have beaten them today. We were the better side no doubt in my mind. Stupid defence and stupid subs were the issues.
Definite penalty for us not given in the first half from that free kick. We created lots of good chances but couldn't finish them.

Disappointed to have lost after watching that.

Games are running out.

Just as well all 5 teams below us lost as well.

By the way I'll be there if we do go to the Championship

 

I'd say that Fulham and Cardiff will get relegated, plus one from Swans, Palace, WBA, Sunderland. Still a little hope for us.

 

I mentioned earlier in the week here that no matter who we play - we just fall short - no matter who they are.
