Does this mean we're heading into the Wigan game as underdogs? I mean Wigan actually have recent experience of playing at Wembley and are a big game team, whereas we're the polar opposite.

Obviously not but I think it will be far from an easy game. Wigan will be fired up to a level we can't match and the way they will close down our midfield will make it difficult. I'd actually consider not playing Arteta or Cazorla for that game

Well you are probably right, always count on Arsenal to play like Barca against the weaker sides, but come up against the top sides, and we turn into a pub team.

 

Right now there is a massive hole in our midfield. Even Wigan would exploit that.

 

I would not take any thing for granted against any opponent, we melt away when the heat is on, the pressure will be severe to get a result in our last chance saloon, our manager has no pressure to deliver, the players as usual will talk the talk.....

That is simply not true though. We might have a starting midfield/defense that is better than what Fergie left Moyes, but our squad depth is the worst it has ever been. Anyone coming in will be looking at up to 6 reinforcements.

 

I would put money on us beating Wigan and have no doubt that we'll beat them

 

i guess if we didnt all remember Birmingham , we could be confident .
