I agree with most of your comments, but disagree with the point at home against Chelsea and Manure.... I will take a point at home against City right now! Let's face it we are not in the same league as this teams..... Spuds lost 4-nil, I am sure some of our fans were giving it the large..... we might be humbled 7-0 here today.... So any point gained against teams like this should be celebrated!

This definitely needs addressing. Not only have we be beaten in the big games, we've been totally pulled apart at the seams. It's not good enough and we simply cannot afford to start these games in the shambolic way we have. I'd rather play ultra defensively like we did against the spuds and win ugly that turn up at the big clubs grounds and leave gaping holes like we have again today.

This isn't the first time this happened this season though, the players have let the club and fans down on more than a few occasions in the big games this season, it's become routine for us to get our asses handed to us against the top 4 in England. Conceded 15 goals now against the top 3, so much for our 'great' defence.
Even when we were top, I said this could very well end up like 2007/2008 ending up in nothing, because of our lack of squad depth. Look at our bench for this game. Giroud is a guaranteed starter, despite his **** form in any competitive game.

This game could have been 4-0 at halftime without the red card. We were ****e before the red card and continue to be **** after. Pathetic. **** performance, worse than Liverpool. Officials have been terrible. Don't think the city and utd games fall into the same category. This is just poor football all round from our team.
If it happens only once or twice in a season, it can be a matter of the "players letting us down". If it happens 5-6 times, it has something to do with match preparation, team selection and choosing the right tactics for the right opponent. All depending way more on the manager than the players. Having a weaker team is no excuse for the complete capitulation in such cases.
There are no excuses. We have been utterly shameful. For the most part this season our defence has been good, but against the big teams it has been woeful. The midfield also are culpable for leaving huge gaps, slopping passing and giving the ball away.
