I bet you were quite when the " socialist " army invaded afghanistan ?

Its like when there are civilian casualties in an air strike , its all over the left wing media .

The taliban line up 20 policemen and shoot them all , ....... not a ****ing peep .

How many countries can take the moral high ground when it comes to democracy.
Chile democratically elected a president in 1973 but the yanks didn't like the result so the CIA destabilised the country which brought about Pinochet's dictatorship

why is it that you hear about an American soldier going crackers and killing Afghan civilians , but you DONT hear about the Taliban giving a 10 year old boy a rucksack full of explosives and sending him to a " skateboard" area in Kabul where he blows up and kills 10 children for daring to blaspheme ( skateboard ) .

The Yank soldier went crackers .
The Taliban attack was cold calculated murder of (muslim) children for the crime of skateboarding

Not a mention on the BBC ,... MUSLIMS killing muslims you see, ... no mileage in that .

Not enough outrage from the luvvies at the Guardian .

Are you talking about the "left wing" BBC whose chairman is an ex Tory MP or whose political editor is an ex chairman of the young conservatives.Possibly you mean that well known communist Andrew Neil ?

They're all as bad as each other...
Actually, i take that back, at least the russians dont pretend to be the good guys.
Only reason I'm keeping track of the situation is to laugh at the comments on internet newsites.

The yanks pump ridiculous money into there military and would have no problem funding a war if they wanted to.

As for the whole the us not having the bottle or not wanting to go to war, I can assure you if war was on the horizon it's the Russians that would be more worried.

The Russians are living in the past, they need to wake up to the new world and get on board already. They are a dictatorship full of corruption, built on corruption. It's a country full of racist, homophobes with a great deal of them fully in support of Putin.

The Americans might overstep there boundaries and attempt to bully other countries but they do not compare to the Russians.

How many democracies support dictatorships.Look at the double standards in the middle east.We seem to have a problem with Syria being a dictatorship but not Saudi Arabia,Bahrain etc etc
Basically all our politicians are hypocrites

Don't be silly of course there are, but it is accepted widespread opinion in Russia. I know your being pedantic but I still feel the need to explain lol. You must have read about the widespread problems with homophobia and racism in Russia....

Haven't tried to argue any merits of anything with my point there. Just thought it was amusing that you don't see any democracy being able to take the high ground about democracy when conversing with a dictatorship :)

How can you take the high ground over democracy when you actively support some of the world's most corrupt dictatoships

So every single democracy supports terrible dictatorships? No. Plenty of democracies can take the high ground over dictatorships and over Russia.

As far as the us or the uk taking the ugh ground which i think is what your alluding to, they still can. Regardless of supporting dictators of other countries when we needed these countries are still democracies where the people ca change the country.
