For me a defeat pretty much ends our title hopes, I would take a draw given just how good Chelsea are at home and then try and go for the win against City at the Emirates,
We must not lose this game, vice versa, for me it's also a must win game, winning this game is as crucial as not losing, at the end of the day, it's not even just to catch up with Chelsea, but also with the other 2 teams in the hunt Pool-City, it's such a pain to be competing with 3 teams. I think we need at least 4 points from our next 2 games.
Chelsea will most likely line up: --------------- Cech -------------- Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Dave --------- Luiz - Matic -------- Schurrle --- Oscar ------ Hazard ------------ Eto --------------
Agree about not losing being more important than winning. Because ultimately if there is a winner in this game then it's a 6 pointer for them.
I'd settle for a point, and try and beat Citeh at the emirates. Sounds difficult, but not totally impossible.
I think a draw would suit us fine, as a victory is unlikely with all our injuries and Maureen's tactical superiority over Wenger. If we can get the draw and take points off Chelsea, then we will be in touching distance. Otherwise the gap will widen and we'll be under pressure against a tough Man City side.
I'm hoping for a draw. Seriously though this is a very interesting game as Arsenal could really put themselves right back in with a chance of the title, Chelsea losing 2 in a row seems unlikely but you never know. Manchester Derby then next week could be a spanking for Utd but again you never know, plenty of twists and turns yet.
I'd like a draw but would be happy if you win. If at the end of the day Chelsea have a 1 point lead over both of us it's going to make it interesting.
Moureen has picked a very solid looking team. Looks like he's gone for the oldschool defensive approach. We need Oxo to have a good game. Shame walcotts still out. That Chelsea line up lacks pace .
This really looks like a Flamini game, surprised he's on the bench. The good thing is our back 4 is all in. Our bench looks pathetic. NO options other than Sanogo for Giroud, as far as forwards go. He'll probably go for Gnabry for Podolski as a last ditch if it all goes terribly wrong.
Teams Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Matic, Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard, Eto'o. Subs: Lampard, Torres, Mikel, Salah, Ba, Schwarzer, Kalas. Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud. Subs: Vermaelen, Flamini, Fabianski, Sanogo, Jenkinson, Kallstrom, Gnabry. Very surprised that Flamini isn't starting, but it should make the game more interesting. Also, with Chelsea playing 2 holding midfielders, Flamini isn't needed as much, and the pace of Chamberlain might help us get at their slow defence.
