    3.25 Gowran Park

    Oscars Business 7/1 e/w

    1.50 Newbury

Sign of a Victory 11/8 forecast. Opened 4/7 so won't be betting.

Let's see how we get on with these. Not pleased Oscars Business is hurdling and not chasing but I'm prepared to take the chance this isn't just a prep run.

I see PWISE extra mysteriously put up lord Windermere last week at Cheltenham - bit fishy to me suddenly a 20/1 winner goes in and PWISE websites P&L suddenly increases?

I think I would be laying Grandeur tomorrow in the Lingfield Winter Derby. Looks like a very hot favourite at 6/4 and 7/4 and is touted as the class horse. Apart from querying that he is the class horse (I would put Windhoek forward to challenge that) there are a few horses that have close form ties with Grandeur, namely:
Anaconda. Good 2 lengths third of 10 to Grandeur - 25/1
Robin Hoods Bay. Looked unlucky not to finish closer when 2 lengths fourth of 10 to Grandeur - 14/1
Tinshu. Respectable 6 lengths sixth of 10 to Grandeur (ran wide) - 50/1
Farraaj. Won Winter Derby at Lingfield (by ½ length from Robin Hoods Bay) in 2013 - 5/1

Considering Grandeur is drawn wide he seems a very short price.

I'm going for Windhoek 13/2 best price at present. Maybe at 50/1 (66/1 with Coral) if Spencer can get Tinshu a good run round the inside he can make up the 6l on Grandeur and grab a place.

In the next race, L'importante for me.

    Chilling to watch Mog.

You'd have to think that the sport here is much cleaner and better policed though.

    Wouldn't you?

I'm gonna wave the no bet banner today but having had a quick look at the Winter Derby at Lingfield I like Rebellious Guest each way.

I have always liked this horse and backed him twice in big handicaps last season where he never got going but I backed him as I thought the horse had group class potential. He's available at 16/1 at present and worth an each way nibble in my eyes but I wont be playing myself.

15:50 Lingfield - Robin Hoods Bay

(Actually, don't have anything in the March kitty as all lost at Cheltenham, so will 'borrow' just a little from April bank LOL! Has a bit of a chance this one in the Winter Derby but will need the usual luck in running, I guess. So, took a bit of the 12/1 currently generally available. GL one and all today!).

My thought exactly, you would hope so. Hopefully this is just a rare case, seems them on that video didnt give a **** about the horses. Ive backed that **** Assmussens horses before too, wont be again.

Gary Stevens laughing about using electric shock things in a race as well. The game is bent.

This Hagges horse Ertijal is meant to be the real deal, entered in the English and Irish Guineas. However he is drawn wide with Paul Hannagan on board on a track he has not ridden for a long time.

Phew! 45 points outlay, 90 points return. Saver wasted. Still that was expected with Frank Spencer riding; never wins for me.
