More than one question? Oh how I hope they do it via everyone's favourite website; survey monkey - and demand we fill it in.
I don't really understand the point of this vote. Whatever the result is each side will twist it in their favour somehow. THis is just political propaganda. I'm pretty sure the vote could be 100% in CTWD's favour and Allam wouldn't give a ****. I'm pretty sure that CTWD would carry on if the vote wasn't in their favour. It's just ****ing meaningless. It will add nothing to nothing.
if the question is solely a vote of confidence then this is clear evidence that they've given up the ghost on the name change
The **** are you on about, CTWD's favour? How can the vote go in their favour? Is one of the questions going to be an election for which party we want running the club?
Jesus wept, I hope your not left with scissors unsupervised? If it's a name change vote they'll lose badly, if it's just a vote of confidence they'll win easily, the problem is they want to win the name change vote, by using a vote of confidence question. If they want to know how many fans are in favour of a name change, then they should have the balls to ask them.
I expect these people don't know as much about these things as ILivedTheDream, but what the hell... "Much of the “marketing theory” being quoted by Mr Allam is, quite frankly, nonsense" - Mark Ritson, Marketing Weekly "The one area he has completely failed to grasp is brand engagement." - Mark Ritson, Marketing Weekly "Why would you throw it away in favour of something that’s totally untested and tried?" - Jyoti Malhotra, international business journalist "There is contemporary theory that says brands are not decided by owners; they’re decided by consumers or fans" - Grant McCracken, economist "To jettison [the present brand] seems to me culturally wrong and economically foolhardy." - Grant McCracken, economist
Maybe they've accepted they can't influence any further the name change thing, and they've moved on from that. Maybe they just want a reassurance they're actually wanted at the club. You never got the name change poll, just leave it and move on, in the end you didn't need it so it seems. What difference would that question make now? Sod all. I know you want a name change poll so you can say "hah we told you it was unpopular" but it aint gonna happen. Not now. It doesn't need to. After the bile and vitriol they've attracted as a result of the name change, they may just want to know if they're wanted at the club, and if they're not, they'll plan a way out, but if they are wanted still, they'll carry on. I know you won't believe it, but its possible they'll learn from the mistakes made during the last 12 months and move on, like you should be trying to do.
I think that's fine IF the ballot is indeed just a vote of confidence not linked to the name change. What makes you think it will be?
Trust me, they haven't given up on the name change, not by a long chalk. Once they do, I'll gladly move on.
They could still have expected to have received guarantees. I also think that HMRC would have given them more time if they knew about the potential takeover.
When do you do any studying? Mind you, watching that film will give you some ideas when the ballot is finally announced!!
meh.. this ballot is meaningless. AA will ignore it, the FA will vote NO. so why is everyone crying over it? unless you're worried about the outcome.
It'll be something like: 1) do you support the current owners continued involvement in the club? 2) would you prefer the owners to try to raise finance through additional sponsorship rather than increasing season ticket prices? 3) if the owners deem that to do this they need to change the club's name, would you renew your season ticket?
They got off pretty lightly but what did you expect ? People not to be upset about it and the fact the fans were not even considered ?
If it's purely a vote of confidence, then what is the point? Surely, if they had any nous they could judge that without asking for votes?
