I dunno, SAF mentioned it. Clearly painful for him that you've yet to reach the top echelon of football. Maybe Moyes will get you there

"My biggest regret is we haven't won the European Cup more times, we have a terrific history but it is not the same as Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool, Bayern Munich or Ajax. We have regrets about that."

Then he said "Only **** clubs win their league less than 20 times. Even ****ter clubs havent won it in decades. Theres cows in that there field, good cows but maybe not as good as the cows in my field."

I don't believe he said that, I think you're putting words in his mouth. Gotta stick to the facts, and my quote is fact.

never have truer words been spoken than in my last post.

Imagine how terrible, and of course, desperate a football club must be to have never won their league 20x.

Thank fully United have never been in such a position.

so when teams were successfully defending the EC it wasn't because they were the best team at the time it was because it was so easy to win even a bad team could win it multiple times in a row? I think the format change means its more competitive with more variation so if youre the best team in europe you have less guarantee to win the CL then the EL but if youre not the best team you have a better chance to win the CL than the EL eg. chelsea, man utd and even (maybe) liverpool werent the best in europe when they won it

You got lucky in 1999 <ok> Bayern dominated most of the match and you get a lucky break in the final 3 minutes.

Quite possibly the most pointless reply yet.

How do any of those mean United were not the best side in europe in 1999 and 2008?

    Please do tell <ok>

So what you are saying is Bayern lost to the side who won their domestic league title, the domestic cup ( the proper one, not some pile of **** ) and the Champions League?

So youre clearly saying we were the best <ok>

they didnt dominate **** all. Yes they were better for periods of the game but did you happen to see who was missing from our midfield that night?

They lost and we won everything. Thats why in 1999 United were the best club in the world. Also in 2008.

poor UIR hanging on to European memories from well over a decade ago. I'd cling harder to your recent successes, you aren't gonna win anything serious for the next decade

Did united even have a clear cut chance that game before the 90th minute? Bayern absolutely dominated you! <laugh>

Dominated. Very loose use of the word there.

    We had several chances.

    We also won <ok>
