In our best championship season ever, our turnover increased by £35,000, whilst our stock of goods for resale went down by £200,000. Its all in the accounts.

The Allams did a very bad job when buying the club. They said the club owed a lot more than what they were told. There must have been evidence of that. They should have asked for personal guarantees from the directors for any substantial creditors that were not revealed. If the directors were not willing to give them then they should have walked away.

If a business plan is ever presented with Hope as one of the expected reasons for success, it will be laughed out of the room. I don't think you realise that the major stakeholders consulted by the FA are the international tv companies that are ploughing billions of pounds and dollars into the game. They obviously see this is as something that will damage their investment.
They certainly don't put in so much money in the hope it will be successful. They spend fortunes on market research before even making their investment, and continue that research throughout the period of their contract.

You asked me for proof that a re brand/ name change can work. I have given an example. I believe it might just work for us. It is only my opinion. You are all welcome to tell me i'm wrong as you are entitled to yours.

No it hasn't. Why didn't you protest about this name change if you are so concerned about the heritage of our game? Division 1 was re branded, invested in and marketed and grew into something massive. Why can't we do something similar on a smaller scale.

So by me staying on topic and not talking about how well Steve Bruce is doing it automatically means i think he deserves no credit? Forgive me, i don't understand your logic.

You offered the Premier League as an example of a successful name change. It's been pointed out to you that the name change was of limited impact on the success. A point you acknowledged as you said it was the bigger plan behind it that mattered.

You've said you have no idea what the Allams, more important bigger plan is. You acknowledge that media and marketing experts have seen this bigger plan and rejected it. These experts are the same ones that made the Premier League a financial success.

You can't reject their opinion of one issue, then use them as your example.

Didn't the FA try to block the forming of the premier league?

When did I say that you think he doesn't deserve any credit? You seemed to want to attribute a lot of the credit of the success to Assem Allam.

Ok. What proportion of credit should go to:

    (a) Assem Allam, and

    (b) Steve Bruce and the players.

In other words, you've given up because you've lost.

Going back to the original topic for a moment, can I just reiterate how important it is that the name change vote isn't tied into a vote of confidence in the owners, therefore making not a free vote on the issue.

I just thought I'd get that in there, before it's announced. <ok>
