If you produced a not606 scale of intellectual capacity, obviously Patty would sit holding up the bottom. I would peg BigotAlertAnalRimMan around the same intellectual level as ….. (scaredandconfused) For instance, his inability to deal with the exposure of his blatant hypocrisy inherent in his views towards ‘the regime’ and of course, punctuating his posts with American teenisms (LOL et al.) – obligatory for any **** head I suppose.
But I have been pro Assem Allam 100% I wasn't that bothered about the name change. ! BUT always said if asked do you prefer HULL City or HULL Tigers I would vote HULL City. I believe everyone would . If Assem Allam changes it to do you back me or want me to go I will vote go. It's a **** question. It's blackmail It's a threat. If he ****s off life goes on. Our next owner might turn out to be our best owner ever. I'm sick of it to be honest. The FA said no. That's the end of it. I don't even think the FA said no because of ctwd They made up there own minds No way did the fa say no just because a group of under 2,000 told them to say no.
Do you have a list of ''anti Allamites'' using this forum ? I see plenty of ''anti name changers'' but that's not the same as being anti Allam is it ?
Well said, I actually think that this name change is about the Allams thinking the name change will make the club more marketable in the Far East for selling the club, nothing to do with increasing revenue steams. Maybe Tan at Cardiff has told AA if you can get the name change through, I will drop Cardiff and buy Hull City from you.
Through my own experience, i'm sorry pal, but i can only assume that you are either lying, or have a very small network of acquaintances. From rugby fans, and fans of rival football clubs, to none sporting types, i can honestly say, i only know two people who don't think the name change is a ridiculous idea. One is my five year old nephew, and the other is my Dad (who is eighty, and has made it his mission in life to disagree with every opinion i hold...they get like that). By far the most common opinion i get, is one of puzzlement. No one can understand why Allam has caused such unrest, in what is an unusually successful time in the clubs history.
I've given up waiting. Decided to watch loads of films today instead. Silence Of The Lambs at the moment. (Bit pointless to post, but whatever)
===== I should get out more ? Lol Iv not missed a single home game all season . I know plenty of fans. Everyone either hates the name change or wasn't that bothered . Not one person I know would choose HULL TIGERS in a vote . I can't understand why ANYONE thinks the FA said no because of CTWD. The fa know CTWD is a sub 2,000 members group. The Fa made up there own mind They would have said no even without CTWD . Because....in my opinion ...they do not want to be bombarded by teams wanting to change there name constantly every time a club got a new sponsor . Or claimed to have a new sponsor Assam Allam failed to persuade the fa it was a good idea. Simple as that.. I do not believe they said no because of CTWD. Though Assem Allam may try and say it was.
HDM 19/03/14: "Exact details of how the ballot process will work are to be revealed in the next 24 hours, but it is believed that every season ticket holder will have the opportunity to vote at the KC Stadium throughout next week." It's 21/03/14 now so they are late in revealing it. So season ticket holders have to visit the KC Stadium? If they could vote on Saturday there would be some sense in it but if not it will be ridiculous. I know it costs some money to organise a ballot but the OSC sent out a letter to every member. For the club to not carry out a postal vote run independently throws the whole validity of a ballot into doubt.
The FA didn't make that decision because of CTWD. They made i because of the submissions made by a lot of other organisations and because of these they came to their decisions its not rocket science you know. Anyone who suggests that it was made because of the submission made by CTWD is a fool. I would suggest that the professional submission made by them carried a lot of weight though.
IMO it is the media that has swayed the FA's decision as they do with most things. It is the same media who influence the England team selection and the media that has managed to get George Boyd banned for spitting. In the name change argument the media has attached itself mainly to CTWD as the voice of the fans. Proof of this would be to look at the number of articles on the net that popped up only minutes after CTWD put out its last statement. Most having a headline along the lines of 'Fans fear over Allam Vote'. We'll I'm not convinced CTWD are the voice of the fans. It is the voice of some of them yes (2000 or so members). They definitely are the voice of this board. They may even be in the majority, i don't know. What i do know is that CTWD do not speak for me or the group of pass holders i go to games with.
CTWD have never asked to speak for anyone. They have merely conveyed the opinions and fears of many in a dignified and open manner, with the wishes of those people. If you want your views represented, whether pro or anti-name change, it's generally best to have someone do it for you, as when you're talking about thousands of people, everyone talking at once just makes an unlistenable noise.
If you don't want to put what your views are can you give me a link to where you put your view on the forum?
I found it!: "The name is not such a big deal for me. As long as the name has Hull in it and not totally crazy I can live with it. Hull Tigers is not as bad as you are making out IMO." But what are your views on the advantages of the name change?
We never claimed to speak for everyone, we just speak for those who are against the name change. It's also true that we have the media on our side, almost all of them, only the HDM are nervous about rocking the boat and even they are still reporting our releases. The question is, why do you think the media have been so supportive of us? Perhaps because they think our cause is just and they are as keen as us to protect the heritage of English football.
