I wonder if he'll sign a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal in the next few weeks...

Not likely as a few big clubs will be in for his signature.

I think this thread was made after diary appeared after suckers thread about him lol. Doesn't seem anyone has noticed :p

I'd take cavani if it was possible though. Think if he was for sale there would be several offers.

    What a load of bullshit.
Cavani has always been more popular than Suarez in South America.

Both are brilliant but if I had to choose I would pick Cavani because he suites out current system better.

Seems as if Uruguayan strikers in general have had mixed success in England. Forlan was a bit of a flop. Not sure how Cavani would fair.

He's also, as far as I'm aware, not a vile little sh*t. Should be 100% less biting at the very least.

This doesn't deserve a thread, we could never match or even come close to his wages

He signed a contract until 2018, it is impossible for him to sign a pre-contract with anyone. The clubs could agree a transfer in the summer, but nothing can be signed until then.

Only two clubs in the Prem that can get his services and Arsenal isn't one of them. Arsenal will probably look at getting Mandzukic.

I've no idea what you mean. So yes, probably. And everyone else by the look of it. I don't even understand what this means

And here is where you take it seriously?

Cavani is VASTLY superior to Forlan though. Forlan is just a decent finisher.

Cavani is on another level. For me alongside Ibra he's the most technically gifted CF around.
(not including Messi/Ronaldo - who I dont really class as Centreforwards)

Just look at the quality of these goals. Now think about the goals we get from Giroud.

He is sponsored by PUMA so make it happen Arsene.

    That last one is insane!

Interesting point you made about Puma though. Remember the Balotelli rumours circulating that Puma were willing to help fund a move so they could have their two big brands together? I still don't think it would happen but would be ridiculously excited if it did. For the record, I never in a million years expected to sign Özil and...yeah.

Exactly. Arsenal fans have got WAY to pessimistic. We are not owned by Billionaires so we cant afford City/Chelsea/ Monaca wages BUT it seems we can now afford top player transfer fees and decent wages. (Dont forget - We signed Ozil for £42 Million and made a £40 Million bid for Suarez and a £25 Million bid for Lars Bender.)

Look I'm not expecting this to happen. (it's just another rumour) I'm sure PSG would like to keep Cavani but there is plenty of reasons why a player Cavani like this could/should consider a move to Arsenal.

1.We are challenging in the EPL. Strongest, most interesting league in World Football and our young team is challenging the likes of City, United and Chelsea.
Where would you rather play? in Liga 1 or the EPL?

2.Puma deal. Timed with the launch of the new Arsenal Puma deal in the summer a player like Cavani could make an absolute fortune through commercials and merchandising. Falcao and Balotelli are also possibilities for this reason. This would more than make up for the extra wages he could earn at PSG.

    3. Arsene Wenger and the squad. Big name manager, 60,000 capacity Stadium in the centre of London (pretty much) and a young team already pushing for the title. We will be better next Season. Add a striker like Cavani and we would be pretty formidable.

Contracts and deals are made all the time outside of the transfer window, they just can't be ratified til the window opens.

Do you really think big clubs make no calls at all until Day 1 then suddenly kick into action? Give me a break.
