    Hi all

I know its a long way off yet and we have not even got there yet, but If we do manage to get to the final it may be too late to organize things at short notice so i thought it would be a good idea to share information on:

How you plan on getting there, like best sites for the cheapest flights
How you plan on getting a ticket for the game
Where you are going to be staying and how long for, does that hotel let you reserve a room without payment now?
Where you will be going for pre and after drinks and if you want to meet up with other overseas fans?

Myself i'm looking at flying from either Calgary or Edmonton on the Thursday, landing on the Friday and returning on the Monday so will need 3 night accommodation. no idea where to stay yet.
As yet don't know where id get a ticket from yet, think Club Wembley will be the only way id be able to get one!

If any local based fans can offer any help or advice it would be appreciated

What are you doing supporting Hull? Shouldn't you be supporting your local team, you plastic?

If we made it to the final I'd pray for drawing Wigan if I were you. I think some people would stay away then who would go if Arsenal were in it. Not to mention avoiding Arsenals world wide and probably very rich fan base all clamouring to see Arsenal win their first trophy in 9 years.

If all goes as the bookies expect and it's Hull v Arsenal, I honestly don't think you've a cat in hells chance at getting a ticket anywhere in the stadium I'm afraid. There'll be a very long list of Arsenal supporters snapping the lot up the second they go on sale.

Surprised you've not pointed out its plasticism of the highest order to just come back for a cup final bob. We never sell out any home games come back for one of them.

Calgary Tiger, another plastic here (whatever the **** that is) Air Transat flies out of Calgary and they offer some pretty good deals. I've used them twice to fly back to the UK and it was OK. Where are from originally?

When I lived in Hull (very close to West Park adjacent to the KC) one of my neighbours worked at Brough he was a mechanic of some kind to do with aircraft.

If we get to the final, I'd like to go but probably wont be able to. No melon head here but I go to a few games each year and was at the Grey Cup game. I love the Riders and I like the game but three hours and the ball is only in play for about 10 minutes is a test of my attention span. I do like hockey though (Olympics and WHL - the Pats). I can't take the NHL because their games also take three hours.

If you were in the army, did you spend time at Suffield and is that how you ended up in Calgary? I used to live in the Hat, at one time. Anyway, nice chatting with you - let's stay in touch

Used to go to a cracking irish blues bar in Calgary, ran by a very nice Yorkshire lass; nearly as lively as the Sin Bin in Medicine Hat - always guaranteed a bit of bobbing and weaving in there!! Oh happy days. . . :emoticon-0105-wink:

For anyone in Sydney, if we make the Final I will be making enquiries at a few bars in the city to try and organise a venue for us to all watch the Final. I also have a large contingent of Arsenal fans who - provided they also make it through - I'll invite along for a bit of banter. I'll post details closer to the date here, in the FB Group, and try and get the club to RT it.
