Former QPR manager Mark Hughes wants to sign Michael Petrasso for Stoke, the Daily Mail claim.

The 18-year-old Canadian winger, who is yet to play for the Rangers first team, impressed during a recent loan spell at Coventry and previously while at Oldham.

He was brought to QPR in 2012 by the club’s then Under-21 boss Marc Bircham when Hughes was at Loftus Road, and the Welshman is supposedly interested in taking Petrasso to the Britannia Stadium this summer.

Hopefully just paper talk, and even if Stoke are interested that doesn't mean we'd sell, but, dear God, I'd go apoplectic if this happens.

He is one of our best prospects for the future. Would be a bad sign immune lose a player like this - Sterling revisited!?!

If he's that good, and he has shown some decent form, why is he not in our squad? Another exmample of Harry's blind spot with youth?...

I must admit it is a rare event to see Harry blooding our youth ............... I was going to say that Harry plays a junior as often as a solar eclipse but they happen two to five times a given year.
We all know Harry is not that frequent with our youth.

Just hope Hughes doesn't get his grubby hands on him .............. hate the Hughes, who doesn't hate the Hughes ........... ( not that there's anything wrong with that. )
Just the thought of Hughes getting one of our youngster gets my blood pressure up .............. serenity now, serenity now!

Going by our record, we're likely to sell him.

He along with 2/3 other youngsters should be playing for us now or getting some experience, especially as we have about 10 so called first teamers injured!!! Some comments now from HR and Bond are really starting to piss me off, much more than Hughes ever did!!

Would rather have seen him instead of benayoun who's apparently a "top, top player" but he just looks like a useless lazy arsehole to me.

I think you're unfair. I don't know what his motives were for signing but he hasn't been handed much of a chance for game time so far and in the small pockets of time he has played he has run around and put effort in. But you do have to wonder why he's not breaking into the first team. Surely it can't be fitness issues by now as he's had time to catch up.

I'll admit I got the Benayoun signing totally wrong. What a waste of money and space.

He should be dominating games, then again so should Kranky, BAE any other number of players who were regular CL players.

Hopefully we dont sell him but Im not really that worried.
Mark Hughes hasnt exactly got an eye for spotting a good player has he....??!!

If he is any good then why the F isnt he in our squad instead of Keane or Miaga ?

Rapidly coning to the conclusion that either Harry & co have been very unlucky OR the a bunch of clueless idiots who dont know what they are doing <ok>

I wouldn't blame any young player for leaving our club, they will never get a kick with H in charge. How long until Donaldson and that lad Magri we got from Portsmouth regret their decision?

Palace were never slow to give their youth team players opportunities and look how well they did, you have to get the blend right...

That's unfair! Hitchcock got 8mins and scored a goal. He was rewarded with lucrative loan deals to allow him to score more!
