The guy who bottled by not sending Rooney off in the 2-2 draw. Neil Swarbrick is his name, from Preston in the north west of England. Don't know what his penalty count is or whether he can tell a foul (eg Zaha at Everton) to a dive (too numerous from Suarez and Sturridge to list) or whether he has previous form for penalty decision controversy?
To be fair, as a continuation from the previous thread, I genuinely doubt we will get near enough to their box often enough to get a penalty in this one. however, and I dont say this as a wind up, if I was a Liverpool defender I wouldnt be remotely put out about being over physical at corners, sticking an arm in our players' backs and digging the odd sly knee in. Because, frankly, the likelihood of..... oh i wont go on I will sound like I have a chip on my shoulder... Realistically, we all know we are playing a far superior team to ours and the referee will, in all likelihood, be irrelevant. I am just going to sit back, relax, enjoy the experience of watching Suarez, Sturridge and Gerrard play, enjoy it and look forward to the big trip next weekend!
To have any chance at all today we have to lump the ball into thier box at every opportunity, thier weakness if you can find a weakness is their back 4. We need to get stuck in and spoil.
Feel Suarez and Sturridge are going to score at least two in the 2nd half so we'd best take our chances!
We deserved a point at Goodison, let's hope we manage at least that today. 3 points would be a real boost and keep us in touch. At least we're scoring a few more goals lately.
Swarbrick is from where? Preston? How far is that from Liverpool? Not bloody far? How can that be neutral? As usual the ref gives us f all.
Having been at Goodison and watched the whole of yesterday's game on sky last night I see some encouraging improvements. We need to keep this up against the teams around us, but even winning those games may not be enough. Cala looks a good player now he has had a few games and Mats Dahli looks a good prospect. With Mutch firing and Medel busying himself there looks a good core to the side. Looking at a likely outcome that we go down, will we hang on to all those players and how will they fare in the hustle and bustle of the Championship. Is there enough to bring us straight back up. Still have my fingers crossed that relegation won't be the case, but it looks more likely as the weeks go by.
