I quite like this old Red Star Belgrade kit, but we'd obviously have to have black shorts: please log in to view this image
I know for a fact that there was a row with Adidas over several aspects of their products and services that NC was extremely unhappy with. In terms of stuff turning up with the wrong badge on it (the wrong monotone colour etc.), turning up late, not having access to the merchandise that was stocked in a Manchester warehouse and many more. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he had cancelled the agreement with Adidas over it. And to be honest, I find it perfectly understandable that he would be so displeased with such a major brand.
Well if we haven't cancelled the deal, we'll be lumped with some ugly generic pile of toss whether it's stripes or not.
I don't get wanting black shorts back. Do any teams actually play in black shorts with a red and white shirt? I get people wanting stripes back but black shorts should be left in the past.
Then we'd look like baseball players. Will never happen...after all it's not like we have a Chairman with any North American links, is it? Oh!
Well, the colours are right. Turn the maple leaf into the tree on the crest and you might get away with it
Might as well give the fans what they really want. Which we (us and those on SaintsWeb) know is this:
Sunderland wear black shorts. I like the idea of Atletico Madrid blue shorts to be different. I get the impression its going to be pretty trad though.
If its Adidas I guess you going to get the stripes. Although I'm with you. At least no hanky sleeves.
No, the reverse sash wouldn't be new. Back in the days when the sash was first around, the players actually wore a sash over a white shirt. According to historical gossip, sometimes they put it over the left shoulder, sometimes the right. They must have safety pinned it or something.
