Bit early but as I'm at work all day tomorrow I thought I may as well do it now.

Sunday 23rd March 2014
White Hart Lane 1.30pm kick off
Live on Sky Sports

Match officials:

Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistants: S Child & P Kirkup
4th Official: Mike Jones

Form guide:

Southampton:

Southampton 4-2 Norwich City
Crystal Palace 0-1 Southampton

Southampton 0-3 Liverpool
West Ham 3-1 Southampton
Sunderland 1-0 Southampton

Hull City 0-1 Southampton

Tottenham:

Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 4-0 Tottenham

Tottenham 1-0 Cardiff
Norwich 1-0 Tottenham
Newcastle 0-4 Tottenham
Tottenham 1-0 Everton

No draws for either side in their last 6 matches. Win or bust for both teams it seems.

Team news:

Saints are without Cork and possibly Wanyama. Gaston is pushing for another start after impressing against Norwich. Saints must decide whether to start Lambert or use him from the bench, which worked very well against Norwich.

Spurs face a trip to Benfica on Thursday night before this match so this could benefit Saints. Sherwood may well put out a weakened side against Benfica to focus on the league.

Prediction:

Saints to nick a 2-1 victory. Spurs are there to be got at and Saints have the attacking quality to give Spurs a big problem. Lallana and Rodriguez the scorers.

Saints have got to go into the match with belief. A positive mindset will do a world of good!! Come on, Spurs are not Bayern, Real or Liverpool. We can do it!!

Provisional squad: Friedel, Archer, McGee, Naughton, A McQueen, Fryers, Rose, Ball, Ogilvie, Sandro, Chadli, Veljkovic, Eriksen, Winks, Sigurdsson, Bentaleb, Onomah, Lennon, Townsend, Kane, Soldado.

Taking Sunday serious by the looks of it!

If Southampton want to go for sixth or seventh we really have to win this one and to be honest if we need to we might as well go for it. Much more pressure on Sherwood now then when we played them at St. Mary's. Hopefully we will defend better this time!

Near impossible to defend any worse than last time! <laugh> We got Tim that job.....now we're taking it back!

Still some tickets on general sale. £41 pounds for the upper tier, that might be why we haven't sold our allocation. Still, poor show really.

It's on TV, it's at a stupid time, plus I'm skint! Those are my excuses!
I guess a lot of people feel the same

The players are going to deliberately play so badly in this game that Daniel Levy will think that Pochittino's reputation is utter rubbish and that he should stick with Sherwood.

You were born on the same day as Fernando Torres.

Assuming your talking about today not Sunday.

A big influence on the result will be Spurs injury situation. For tonights game they are claiming to have an injury crisis and putting out a weakened team and I don't know whether this is a tactical injury crisis (saving their best players for Sunday) or a real one in which case I would be very confident about getting a result

I bet most of them will be back. Playing three games in a week is going to be pretty tough if they're not fully fit, but a full week's break will have most of them available I'd imagine.
