Nice, I'll have just got back home. You'd better have some awesome new players lined up for me (and got Rickie to lift the World Cup).

I'd prefer a more original kit. So no plain red and no stripey job either. The old Rank Xerox "inverted Ajax" style or the "River Plate" sash again would be good, or something totally new.

For me, the sash is massively symbolic, of Liebherr, of the start of the good times etc. Unleash it on the Prem for a year, who knows what joy it might bring!

Regarding the badge, I have never liked it. Would be happy to go for a change there.

I wish I could read the OP but then realised it's because I deleted him because he is a tedious monotonous twad.

I'm still waiting to find out who the other two "real" fans are on this board. Please don't keep me in suspense, CBK.

I must say, I am worried about the subversive tones of many of the posts on here. Katharina & Ralph have changed the badge back and yet many of you are seemingly against this?

You do realise that by not agreeing 100% with those in charge of Saints, there is a real risk they will leave the club and it will be ALL YOUR FAULT.

So get behind the club, stop undermining it and show some ambition & positivity.

I am genuinly suprised by the amount of people who liked the monotone badge, and those that like the all red strip. But then again there's no accounting for taste. On a match day you see not only people in the new strip, but people in really terrible shirts from our history, like the one from the Championship first time round with the thick black stripe down the arm. I always see a father and son on the train both in this shirt.

I do like the red strip. I am ambivalent about the monotone badge....didn't like it much, but it made a poor badge look slightly better. We have an historic club....our badge makes us look as if we leapt fully formed into the world in the eighties.

See, I really liked last year's pinstripe effort.

But this year's orangey red, with gold print and gold monotone badge and dodgy white armbands? No thanks.

I'd keep hold of the black/silver logo for use on certain documents, promotions, marketing material but I'll not be sad to see the gold logo go. The gold on the front of the red kit is hideous and there's no real reason behind it.

We don't really have a historic badge. The rehashed Soton city crest (below) was only used for a short while and then mostly on club stationary, not on the shirts, before they had a competition in the early 70's (74-75?) for fans to create a crest and Rolland Parris' winning design is the one that most of us have grown up with.

The pinstripe was my favourite too...also liked the sash, but doubt we will see that again.

If you want something very elaborate & "historic" then the County of Southampton crest is this...

I like our badge. It looks like a 12 year old drew it with felt tips.

Silver badge looks good on the black away kit, but they should have kept the colours for the home one. I'm pretty ambivalent about going back to stripes now to be honest.

I hope we don't go back to stripes. Would much prefer the Sash or Xerox.

Red and white stripes are so bottom half teams colours.

Sadly, I suspect that KL will go back to stripes as part of the 'listen to the fans' stance.

P.s. Didn't someone say that we are breaking the Adidas contract because of poor quality/supply? Will that still happen.
