Get real, man - the Campaign (CTWD) has been about one issue, and you know it, despite your conspiracy fantasies.

Chazz what don't you like about the supporters' trust idea?

It was Allam's idea (which he now doesn't want us to know about), it hasn't happened yet and the idea was only dreamt up since the inception of CTWD. What's the problem?

They've written they intend to start a trust with a view to owning the club. So what? What is the issue with this? You seem desperate to hate CTWD and just seem to be clinging on to this as your 'justification'?

Chazz thats a little silly as it was clearly just an idea they had that they put a date on. The CTWD group has always been about the name. They do not have the money to buy a stake in the club or the stadium. For **** sake the membership was like 2 pounds and they spent more than 2 pounds making the packet and putting the postage on to send it to me. They clearly do not have the finances to buy a stake in anything.

Its the lie they are still peddling isnt it. It was never a one issue yet people dont want to acknowledge it. I find that strange, dont you. Doesnt that make you question why?

I've said before i prefer your and Fez' attitude to CTWD's underhandedness.

There's no lie, CTWD have clearly said that we'd like to merge with the co-op in the future to form a new supporters trust, but it hasn't happened yet and for it to happen it needs to be voted for by it's members, along with the members of the co-op.

Everything we've done to date is to oppose the name change, we've done nothing but oppose the name change and your conspiracy theory is still bollocks.

Jesus Christ. Chazz has already pointed out the lies which a few of us are already aware of, but I'm surprised you're still spinning that line OLM. Shame on you.

I'm actually stunned you've released that press statement. I was genuinely starting to think maybe you were what you claimed to be, and were keeping a quiet, respectful distance until the official announcement from the FA is made, because after all, you're a single issue campaign group protesting against the name change.

That statement is clearly designed to

    1. Make sure CTWD is driving the agenda and not the owners
    2. Make it appear that you're in control and you run the club, any decisions are made by the CTWD committee in the running of the club, much as Ehab described
    3. Make sure the poll is a vote of confidence, regardless of what the Allams planned to do with the poll

Despite the vote having NO impact on the name change, you had to get in there to twist the knife, and no doubt when you get told to **** off, will claim Nasty Dr Allam is picking on you all again and you just want a fair vote for the fans.

The wording of the vote, and what its used for is actually **** all to do with CTWD. This might come as a surprise, but you do not run or own the club. This press release comes over as a desperate need to be taken seriously and despite the well run and (from the committee) a respectful campaign so far, this is a huge own goal, so well done. Unless when you gathered to discuss the press release, youdecided you wanted to goad the owners so you can appear to be the victims of a crazy and nasty owner, in which case, well done.

Now seriously, stop with the single issue bollocks, it's not fooling anyone with an iota of common sense.

So what you seem to be saying is the name-change does have a price. Is that correct?

But why is it a lie? Explain how they're underhand? What's wrong with being a single-issue campaign group who intend to become more than that in the future?

Sigh. I thought you were toning this bollocks down <doh>

I was, but that press release is pure and outright deceit and manipulation and an attempt to put CTWD in the driving seat while calling all the shots. It's pure bollocks.

How could they possibly put themselves in the driving seat? They have no power.

They're trying to put pressure on the club not to conduct this poll unfairly. That's all. How can you not see that? The club will probably ignore it but they've got to at least try. Someone has to try and stand up for us and prevent this dictatorial bullshit.

Are you for real or are you just taking the piss? Ive been a member of the Tigers Co-op and the CITD since their inception. I wouldn't think you know even remotely what the Tigers Co-Op is FFS. Both have been in discussion about an amalgamation for quite a while now so it just shows how wide of the mark you are or indeed what you know. I don't take your posts seriously because of the rubbish contained in them and I would assume you are the biggest shyte stirrer on this site. But comedian you are not.

I disagree with Chazz; CTWD have made it very clear, on a number of occasions, that name-change is the sole focus and that any other issues will be dealt with once the name-change campaign is concluded. Depending on what any further issues are, that is probably when my membership will end; but let's win this war first, as we have only just about won the first battle.

I have to admit to being confused as to why CTWD felt it necessary to intercede in the owners ballot dilemma; perhaps it is the unhealthy need to make them feel loved, or, perhaps, there is a bit of concern that one question about their stewardship will allow them to gain unwelcome high ground.

Never mind, let's see what happens over the next week or so; all meaningful salvos have been fired.

How does everyone think this whole sorry episode would have turned out if the fans had just kept quiet and voiced their discontent at the name change privately and quietly to the FA?
