You assume it creates suspicion and mistrust. Maybe you assume wrong. Maybe the vast majority of people don't think like you do.
If i was in a changing room with a team of lesbian footballers i wouldnt complain . . . . . unless Claire Baling is in there munching on the oranges provocatively
The way that communal toilets and changing rooms worldwide are designed suggests that privacy, segregation and the elimination of sexual 'risk' are important factors for a significant majority.
Seriously PLT, when you think of a load of women in your changing room you picture it like this please log in to view this image But we know in reality it's far more likely to be full of women that look more like this please log in to view this image
In the context of talking about gay footballers and straight footballers I cannot agree with what you are saying, as we have no way or knowing. Until some come out openly we will never know how their straight teammates feel about it. Some may feel uncomfortable. Some may not. Its a moot point.
Fundamentally football is a very lucrative business masquerading as a sport- it is not a social laboratory for lobby groups. Additionally, team sports tend to be 'conservative' in character with the individual subsumed into the group.
I think you'll find there are gay footballers charlie and their team mates will be fully aware they are gay and will be sharing changing rooms, no problem. The only people with a problem are ones like Stewey, he doth protest too much....
Yes. To clarify I was talking about changing rooms in general where they're full of strangers. A football team is a close knit group and I wouldn't expect things like these to cause a rift amongst friends.
I also suspect that is the case. If there was a problem then I would imagine the clubs would have put in individual changing rooms like hatty said.
Another point. We're striving for equality right? Is it really true equality, that gay men have the privilege of witnessing other naked men in person, thus gaining memorable and prime first hand ****ing material? Specially for those with photographic memory. If we were really going to be equal shouldn't straight men also be afforded that same privilege of opportunity by having women present in their changing rooms? It's only fair.
Bit discriminatory to those footballers than are into beastiality. Get the swine, gee gees and emus in there as well.
It isn't, plenty of other sports have already proven that openly gay people can participate in team sports without their sexuality being an issue.
There was that Welsh rugby larker and the kraut and septic footballers. Would you be so kind as to list these plnety of players/teams/sports? Are there any gay horses/jockeys?
Give the bigot an audience; you've got to wonder if he is so vocal away from a keyboard. Same old ****, same old bigot.
