Apart from the ones whose engines lost a cylinder or who got DSQd for technical infringements. Hardly indicators of form.

Technical issue may occur again, however small the chance. Drivers may be slower if they cheated and gained a podium in the first race, so they might not be in the top 10. Just state your drivers and simmer down, system will stay like this unless somebody else wants to start making these threads.

When I've done polls it's always been the (Top 10 of the WDC) in these polls, manny has done it how we have done it in the past. Doesn't matter if Hamilton, Vettel or Ricciardo might win the race, they're not in the top 10 so I see no problem what's been done and found it funny myself, just vote Other lol!

yer I think Manny is right. And that's how its been done in the past. Hamilton, Ricciardo and Vettel have 0 points The poll only allows a limited amount of options so therefore that's why we have the 'Other' option. It will correct itself soon enough

hmmm, I don't really want to vote for Mercedes, so I think I'll join you, Bottas Williams looked really good, better Q and without the wall to hit don't know how far up he would've got, in front of Button I would've said. ATM it looks like the only car capable of challenging.

So other Massa for me too

Since it's obvious that Mercedes have the other engine makers by the balls at the moment, what's stopping them just vetoing every possible upgrade to make their rivals (Renault, Ferrari) more reliable and then just dominate the whole season?

I believe reliability is one of the few things that teams are allowed to improve during the season, so long as it can be demonstrated that that's the primary benefit of any change. Mercedes wouldn't have a say in it. They can however stop any other engines getting significantly more powerful.

The way I remember it was that even if they proved it to the FIA they still need all the engine manufacturers to agree it. Mercedes could veto every design until the end of the season.

Being a constructor as well could make things messy. You could screw over you rivals, but then thy will all have it in for you for a very long time :(

Hehehe… I was amused at the poll. :D
But actually, even though he may have anticipated the reaction, I think
EMSC was quite right to stick to his guns.

McLaren is confident it will be half a second per lap quicker in Malaysia than it was in Australia, according to Ron Dennis.

Kevin Magnussen finished second and Jenson Button third after Daniel Ricciardo's exclusion in Melbourne to leave McLaren leading the constructors' championship. However, Nico Rosberg won the Australian Grand Prix comfortably and Dennis admits the gap might prove tough to close between races.

“What we intend to be as fast as possible is a winning grand prix team, and if you're not winning then you're not where you want to be,” Dennis said. “So the question is how do we catch up and how fast can we do it? What steps have to be taken? But I'm very pleased with the changes that have been made over the last couple of months and the outcome I think is very positive, so let's see where we are in a month or two.

“These intercontinental races limit how fast you can develop the car, but nevertheless we're going to give it our best shot. We're confident that we will be half a second quicker at the next grand prix for a variety of reasons. That's not going to be enough to achieve our goal but that will keep the pressure on the teams that are chasing us.”

Racing director Eric Boullier added that Mercedes seems to have at least half a second advantage, but he believes McLaren could be in a position to win races on pace come the start of the European season.

“It's true that we understand that they have some pace, obviously,” Boullier said. “We believe it's maybe between 0.5s and 0.75s faster than the rest of the field. As for McLaren, we obviously focused a lot over the winter to build a solid and reliable car because we believed – and let's say so far the result in Australia confirmed our strategy – that reliability was key to taking some big points at the beginning of the season.

If Williams can get in the top 4 in qualifying then they've got every chance of winning the race, Massa in particular.

Gone for N.Rosberg myself. 2nd choice if I could would be Hulkenberg, due to the increased chance of rain.

    Controversy time...

Will Lewis be allowed to attack Nico at the end if they're in a 1-2? Or will he return the favour in that Nico stopped attacking him last year?
