So the players sent here, have come to help..? Other than AA where have they helped, and even AA seems to have trouble doing 90 minutes...

So exactly what is the criteria for when players fit better at Liege, they can go here, that can happen"..?
We can assume it won't be the likes of Pritchard, eh, Huh, Yeah.

All these videos sound desperate. But I guess he's damed if he does (release a video), damned if he doesn't (stays silent).

Thanks for strengthening my point Eddie...

I don't understand how some fans are saying he addressed the "feeder club" concern, because I don't think he did...
He said "can happen", so as I said above, when will it be right for Liege...? Liege sports manager spelt it out clearly last week...

One thing I don't understand. Our players are all contracted to the club, not to RD as an individual. I can understand that players like Green or Pritchard who rarely get a game might take the chance to move abroad to get regular first-team games, but why would Liege want them? Players like Cousins and Poyet could soon get themselves a fat contract with a Premiership or top Championship club. What possible advantage would it be to them to move to a lower standard of football, and how could RD force them to do so?

...and we win last night without the players "sent here", but with the help of Obika who showed what a bit of Championship quality can do... Some of us have been crying out for it all season.

We still need a RM and a striker, if we can get them I have no worries for the remainder of the season...

There is nothing much wrong with our team from positions 1-9. The defence & midfield are good enough to keep us up. We just lack anything up top.

The midfield is good enough in terms of combative style, but the lack of creativity is alarming.

In Cousins and Poyet (Who is rumoured to be signing a new three year deal I've "read") we've got two players who can tackle and pass the ball
In Jackson we've got a natural leader who can inspire and be there at the right time

In Ajdarevic we've got someone who can be creative but isnt 100% fit... If we can make him a perm signing in the summer and put him on an intensive fitness programme along with getting in another creative type player as backup (a much younger version of Gower maybe) then I think we're reaching quite a good midfield

I'd be happier if we could get a good Championship RB and push Wilson back in to the right side of midfield. Then that gives us a lot of hustle with a added bit of pace. The fear is being a bit to one dimensional.

Hopefully Solly will get back to proper fitness over the summer and we will be able to leave Nego as the backup RB

On reflection, I might have called it wrong on RD. I am reasonably encouraged by his actions and comments in the last week <sorry>

"When players fit better at Liege, they can go here, that can happen"...

What's changed, other than picking up points, which arguably would've happened anyway...

He has said very little on how he plans to progress us as a football club... On-the-field success hasn't come to the fore in his interviews, but breaking even, the greater good of the network, and making a profit has....

Personally I'm left feeling the exact same way as I did when he first turned up...
I can see him giving us some initial impact, but long term is where I see problems.

Fair points. The factors that have swung me in favour of RD are:

    1. Sacking Powell.
    2. Re energising and investing in the plans for Sparrows Lane.
    3. Coming across as honest in the 6 min You Tube interview that was posted yesterday.
    4. Ignoring the Combover Crew, whether that be CAST or G21 or G17 or maybe now G1.
    5. £600,000 set aside for the pitch.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. The priorities for me now are:

    1. A decent loan striker and right sided midfielder to guarantee survival.
    2. An absolute guarantee that we would not leave The Valley under RD.
    3. A new long term contract for Poyet.

As Borat said to his sister after nooky, "what's not to like?".......

    "Sacking Powell"

Not everyone is obsessed with managers... I really do think that far too much importance is placed on them, and the amount of praise or blame directed in general at managers is ridiculously overemphasised..

Success is mainly determined around budget, and the number of quality players that budget enables the club to gather... I'll be more convinced with RD when he improves things where it matters most, on the pitch...
Up till now I don't think he's done a great job of doing that.

If leaving leaving The Valley is about ambition, and trying to progress the club, then I don't see it as bad thing...

All that matters is what's best for Charlton...

Still not as rosy as recent results have deflected <ok>

EDIT: that's not exclusive to Diego.

Having said previously on several occasions that I believe the only way we can break even and eventually be successful is through the Academy it would be strange if I changed my mind now that we have an owner who not only agrees, but is putting his money where his mouth is. S&J also had this strategy, but it seems they didn't invest the money they had promised in the Sparrows Lane training ground. Anyway I've had doubts for a while about whether CP bought into this idea, and although you could point to the number of Academy products who have had first-team experience, he seems happier working with players who are the finished product. I look forward to seeing if Jose watches the U-21's, I hope so because CP didn't.

But most managers do... Look at how many quality academy players Curbs released, when we were riding high...
