Start next season like this and we'll be in for a good un. Think cotterill has more expectation and pressure to get us promoted next year, than SOD did at the beginning of this term.... Just hope we're not like the gas, end the season strong and start it off the same as the season before!
6th in the league in terms of form but still not safe from relegation, says it all how much we were up **** creek without a paddle..

With only 3 clean sheets we have had to score at least 2 goals to win a game! that's 43 games means we have to score 86 goals ! so 32 short! at the mo

I really think we hit rock bottom around November. The appointment of Cotterill has still not been fully backed by some on this board, but he's slowly making things better IMO
2 wins 2 draws in 9 games should see us just about safe. Considering we have Crewe, Notts county, Stevenage, Colchester, Crawley, port vale coming up this can be done.. We certainly have the team now adding 2 more players who could easily play in the championship
This is a good website for stats like home / away records etc. http://www.soccerstats.com/homeaway.asp?league=england3 Colchester's home record of won 7 drawn 4 lost 8 tells me that this Saturdays game is a good bet for an away win.
From our 9 games, based on our current form, I think we'll 17 points, Wins against Colchester, Port Vale, Notts C, Stevenage and Crewe, picking up draws against Walsall and Crawley, Defeats to Rotherham and Preston. So 59 points at seasons end....
I believe, Shiny, that your prediction based on current form will not be too far from what we achieve. Our away record for the season is actually quite reasonable, we are 10th in the away table, but I still have concerns that we don't win home games that we should. For example Tranmere and Swindon were both let off the hook and should have been buried out of sight long before the end of the match!
Maybe so but we seem to have one big advantage now when playing away in that we immediately go on the attack as at Orient and Posh. Most teams near the bottom are very defensive early in games in the SOD genre!
so why did you paste it again? ? ? Its a mere elaboration, and shows what we might expect to finish the season......
