The Fat Cat is a paradise for real ale drinkers, unfortunately I don't get to go there, or any pubs on match days now as I generally have some small people in tow. A 20 mile drive home with some "Nelsons Revenge" on board is NOT advised. Don't compute with the Blue Parrot Gil, have you got the right city??
I'll give that a try, we'll have plenty of time pre-match BTW, is you avatar & username ironic out of interest.
Thought the blue parrot was next to Wetherspoons, a Norwegian bar. Maybe I have the name wrong or it's long gone. Your right about the real ales tho in the Fat cat tho. I have sank quite a few ales in there on numerous occasions
SMug - night games may be an issue as it all depends what time I get away from work - could be 4pm or could be 7! If it's the latter then it';s straight to the game. If it's 4pm then I could definitely get into Sunderland early and meet you for a pint - even if it's at the stadium (I'm currently in the North stand) - Not a big fan of the beer in the SoL but can "put up with it"!!
Sounds good mate, just keep me posted, I'll pm my numbers. And yes Bri, I reckon I'll be up for Everton ....... I reckon I'll see most of our games now. I'm trying to work out a plan for Spurs away. I would've gone to Liverpool but it's an away day I despise so I doubt it.
Sounds canny mate, I've always steered clear of meeting people of forums but V-Joe and RAW have changed my mind tbh.
No, no irony Smug, Delia saved our club from going out of business by putting a load of money in with days to spare. I've sat close to her on quite a few occasions, she's always chatty and very down to earth, she's a genuine fan and a really nice friendly person, so, I love her for saving my club. I've got "DELIA" on my shirt instead of a players name, it looks better than 'Ricky Van Wolfswinkle' and was about a million quid cheaper!!!!!! I think she could do a better job as striker than him anyway.
Well I've met Tees and Bobby and they were cracking fellas, wish I could have spent a bit more time with them as I arrived late for the final (caugh kick off through)
Instead of going to the club before the west ham game we are going to the tavern coz we are moving our seats a few rows forward in the south for next season so we can see the scoreboard, be in early doors if anyones in
Went to buy train tickets after I saw an ad from thetrainline for £20 return, bought them for the Saturday without looking at the date.. turns out the tickets are for the 5th of April, can't be refunded or the date/time changed. So I've just wasted £20 basically Enjoy the game whoever is going
