Shouldn't you be bullying autistics like Matth on the United forum to prove your intellectual superiority?
When I find some more maybe I will. I'd try CPofL but he pretends to block me. My point is a valid one though, much as you'll deflect from it.
Personally, I agree you got screwed. Willian's second yellow wasn't a second yellow in a million years, and the Mourinho thing was total bullshit. Lambert was on the pitch too. Where was his red?
Who cares about the Mourinho sending off - affects nothing. Second yellow for Willian was debatable, but I can see why it was given - even if personally I wouldn't have. As said above, Foy even tried to do Chelsea a favour ignoring a clear handball to award a goal until the assistant intervened.
Lets agree to disagree on the red cards, disallowed goals and dives. Can I suggest we all agree on this ? Everyone was poor , but Villa were a bit less poor and got the money.
How was everyone poor? We were well worth a point and Villa played well above themselves: their best performance for two years according to their manager
And still we were absolutely dominant for most of that second half until the sending off (73% possession at one point). Villa would have got a point at best barring that decision. That got all the 50/50 decisions and nicked a win cos we were a man down yet somehow it was some amazing performance?!?!
I actually agree with you. We should have had enough to win that game even with 10 men. The ref was absolute s**t but I would like just for once to be able to talk about the performance of the players and not the ref. Every week now refs do something that upsets fans and its getting beyond a joke. But seriously if you think this is a song and dance, go on the Liverpool or Spurs pages everytime they suffer an injustice, then you'll see what a real song and dance is.
I expect the fans to complain- that's part of what the forum is about IMO. I was referring to the song and dance the club/players/staff make- Ovrebo, Frisk, Clattenburg, Foy- it seems way over the top.
With the exception of death threats, all four warranted imo. Four of the most horrendous refereeing displays I've ever encountered - especially Ovrebo. You need to take a peek at the Spurs/Liverpool boards if you want to see a song and dance! Don't think there's a game that goes by where they don't complain about the ref.
I guess the problem is, that the pressure and media exposure at the top clubs is so big that when a ref influences a result then managers are asked more questions about it in press conferences etc, causing more sound bites to sell papers etc. The top managers aren't as used to losing either so are more likely to react. Fergie was just as bad at blaming refs for any defeat. I'd expect a song and dance re Ovrebo anyway. Worst refereeing performance I've ever seen.
Upon further review the second yellow card for Willian may have been harsh. It was a foul and if he'd done the same thing twice then a yellow for persistent fouling would be ok but for just once (as a "bad foul") was unlucky.
It was very harsh from a ref who had a pretty awful game. For what it's worth I think Matic was handball, just, but it took 3 replays to really see it. That one was not down to the ref but the linesman who was on a hair trigger all game.
We played for 70 mins with 11 men and couldn't score. I think we were poor, and we have had this problem for some time.Villa came at us second half and scored a slightly flukey /brilliant goal, depending which team you follow. But overall they were poor and probably wouldn't have scored if we had 11 men. The ref and linesmen were poor. We might have been worth a point, but we were still poor, compared to ,say, when we beat City at their place.
