back to Moyes, when he says - '' we'll try and win the next game'' that's a defeatist attitude, the United job is too big for him.

 

I still don't see what makes that comment defeatist.

Because when we had a bad game under Fergie he came out with statements like "that wasn`t good enough, i can tell you now we will be better than that in the next game". See the difference, accepting defeat and meakly saying we will try to get better as opposed to not accepting defeat and demanding we improve.

But that's still not accepting defeat. It's not as positive as Ferguson but it's realistic- why say 'we will' and heap more pressure on yourself when you can go about it less bullishly but positive all the same? Ferguson knew a poor performance wouldn't be repeated but Moyes deep down probably doesn't have a clue what to do.
