imagine a small disclosure at the end of the email saying

    * a no vote will count as continued support for ownership and the need to change the name to hull tigers *

considering I have 4 passholders using my email address gives a very small indication of what may well happen ...

Where does it say CTWD wouldn't get a 'second chance'?

CTWD don't need a second chance. They've already won. The only way AA can make his idea look any good is a) win the upcoming ballot comfortably, and b) produce some evidence that proves there is commercial opportunities to be had from this change. Because so far he has done **** all on both fronts. Even if he does one of these it doesnt look good for him.

So a biased vote then, which will make AA look worse when the FA read it.

Niko, the ballot is only one small element. It's been recommended for rejection because it was a naff idea poorly presented. A ballot can't change that. The Allams get another shot so the FA can screw the lid shut for any appeal.

or a brown envelope full of money to each member of the council ?

you really have too much faith in the FA ...

I hope its won , I honestly do , but I don't think its over by any stretch and hope that CTWD do not stop as they are so close to the line now on a momentous day for English football in general

You really have too much faith in the FA as well. So don't play that game with me.

No what I meant was that the domain used is now hullcitytigers.com and I highly doubt he will change it back when it is rejected

All the news are reporting on the news but focusing mainly on Allam leaving as he has to follow through with his words right?

I just think we need to enjoy this season because it will get messy and no one is taking responsibility and neither AA or CTWD have a contingency plan.

We haven't discussed a second chance. I don't think there is anything inherently unfair in the applicant (the club) being informed of the committee's decision and being asked to submit further evidence to be considered by the full Council.

We have an opportunity to put this thing to bed once and for all, a simple do you agree to the name being Hull Tigers, yes or no and an overwhelming no vote. Once the vote is out of the way a period of reconciliation to build a powerful Hull City. If that happens I will be happy.

    Allam will definitely leave.

He never goes back on his word, remember? NEVER.

Except for the dozens of times since the name change came out....

Allam himself has come out and said he couldn't liquidate the club, there's too much money at stake. Any sale would have to be a reasonable one.

Another submission to make? What will they say now that they decided not to say before? What would the FA consider now that they didn't consider before?

    It's all nonsense.

Look, this doesn't take a genius... Look at the timeline.

Wednesday 12th March: Membership Committee meet and make recommendation to reject request.

We now know that they must have informed the owners that the procedure allows Hull City to give a further response before the FA council vote is taken to the written reasons of the rejection.

What we do not know is WHEN the decision was made known to the Allams, or WHEN they were notified about the specific reasons for rejection.
It is likely however that this was prior to Wednesday 5th March (Ehabs open letter to the fans). Think about it, everyone was confused about the timing of this letter given that it seemed out of the blue, and not in direct response to anything.

We then learn on Thursday 13th (one day after the Committee had met) that an interview has been arranged with Sky Sports with the Allams. (Maybe the Allams assumed it would go public immediately after the meeting rather than one week later?)
In this interview, they re-instate their threat to quit the club and caveat this with they will put the club up for sale if the fans are against the name change.
Saturday 15th May, Ehab announces out of the blue that the season card holders are to be polled for their opinion, and that this will happen shortly.

For me, all that has happened today is that we have caught up with what the Allams have probably known since the 4th March, and what we have witnessed in the last 2 weeks is their response to it.
(i.e. We have already had the response from the Allams to this rejection)

read markkc response above my reply and below yours ..

    says it all ...

this is a non event news wise ... hull city have another chance to submit and are putting the charm offensive on and will bias it any way they can

IMO CTWD campaign will win out .. but what it wins out to we will just have to wait and see ... hopefully people like Obadiah and OLM will be at the forefront of where they go next as far as discussions etc go with the owners

They could buy nearly any domain they want. That doesn't affect the name of the company either.

The playing name is the one they can't change without the permission of the FA.

Everton must have been "up for sale" for about 10 years now

I think you're right. I wouldn't be surprised if they have seen the report submitted to the Membership Committee and told of the result. The advert, interview and ballot is their reaction to it.

If the Guardian article is to be believed Assem Allam will wait until Hull City is worth over £80 million before he sells the club.
